Hello, everyone!

I found this website a couple of months ago when I was playing the Sims Medieval. I'd been planning not to get Sims 3, having enjoyed Sims 2 so much, but then I found out about Legacies and Challenges. So I got the Deluxe (base game and Ambitions) and then World Adventures. I started with the Sims 1 four years ago when my husband was recovering from a serious illness and got hooked instantly. My original intention was to write more about the Sims, but I end up playing more than writing. Right now I'm working on designing a Challenge, which I'll post to the Challenge thread when I've figured out all the parameters.

Hi there, Marian!  A hearty, warm welcome to you, too!  Wow, working on a challenge design -- that's great!

Thank you, Beccaboo and Chronic!  A fun game and a fun community with whom to discuss it -- who could ask for more?

Hello! My name is Kim and I'm addicted to the Sims. This is the part when all the other addicts in the room say "Hi Kim" LoL Anyway... I've been playing Maxis Sim games since about 1995. I didn't actually start playing The Sims until 2005. By then EA had released all 7 expansion packs with the base for Sims 1. I was in heaven. It all started because my boyfriend at the time had a PS2 and I rented the Sims at Blockbuster. I was hooked, he bought me the game for PC like a month later. I crashed my laptop with all the downloads. I kind of skipped Sims 2, although recently installed in on this laptop and I played it briefly returning to Sims 3 with a renewed sense of appreciation for all the updated game play. If I wasn't so broke right now I'd have Generations and the Medieval Sims. I do currently play with Ambitions, World Adventure and Late Night however thanks to my loving fiancee who knows how addicted I am. LoL

I found this site when I googled I think it was I had junk spawning on my lawn and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out the lot I downloaded from TSR was built on a demolished junkyard lot and there were spawners all over the yard for junk. Then I stumbled on the Challenges thread and I joined immediately. Now a days my games are played with 'motherlode' and 'make needs static' so you imagine how much of a real difference this is going to be. I'm am so ready for a challenge though. I've never joined a forum for the Sims before nor have I checked out the Sims official forum until today so I didn't even know that challenges existed. I was on the verge of boredom and y'all have saved me!

Other than the Sims I am 26 with a 5 month old baby girl. I'm a stay-at-home Mom now, which is a crazy change for me. I've been working since I was 15. I have what you check as 'some college'. LoL I hated school. I do plan on going back not this fall but next. I live with my fiancee, the father of my child. We also have a cat and dog and I love them so much. They are very much a part of our family. I'm not very athletic and so broke as I'm sure most of America is right now so that dwindles my hobbies down to The Sims! Which is just fine by me. I spend my days entertaining and teaching my little one with a constantly running Sim game in the background. Anyone jealous? = P I look forward to reading everyone else's Simming experiences and sharing my dynasty.

Happy Simming!
        Kim ;D

Welcome, Kim!  I know my friends and family find it appalling how much money I've spent on Sims, including to improve my machine to make gameplay better, but when you think about what you spend versus how much enjoyment you get, I think maybe only food tops the list!  Enjoy the forum!   ;D

Hi Kim!  :D

Hey Pam is that Sim Addict thread still up? Now that's a thread I haven't been on in a while.
