Well, he's such a good singer so he could just about be Swedish if he only wanted to. :)

True, just ask politely and he would have had his own country  8)

Kids today...You're three years younger than me, so perhaps he was before my time as well, but he's a very skilled singer and you have to have at least heard of him! I'm happy that noone here had taken Bob Marley as an avatar.

How many here are old enough to know that Bob Marley wasn't the original artist of that song?  :D

I thought he was the original artist. Marley wrote it and Eric Clapton did a cover version. Acording to Wikapedia, the Clapton version was released the year after Marley and the Wailers did it.
and yes, I'm old enough to remember singing to it as a teenager. (an old boyfriend was a fan of Marley)

Yeah, Pam, Marley did write that song. Clapton's version got a lot more airplay and I never realized that he wasn't the original artist for quite a few years simply because I never even heard the Marley version on the radio.

Hello....I am a newbie to this forum and to the Sims world.

I live in Ohio and I am a Mom of 4 sons ages between 25yrs to 15yrs. My boys are "gamers" and have been trying to make a "gamer" of me for many years. They have been trying to talk me into trying the Sims for a long time, knowing me as they do, they knew I would love it. So, they bought me the Sims 3 Holiday Collector's Edition and Guide Book for Christmas.

I really love the game and am having so much fun with it, even though I, like the many other Sims fans have to deal with the many glitches and bugs of the game.

I tried to find help through the main Sims site, and various other sites and I could not find the help I needed, and I was incredibly frustrated. I have posted questions at the main site at the beginning of the new year and have still not received any response. I felt "invisible", lost, hopeless, defeated and alone on that site. And then thankfully I found this forum. It literally has kept me from giving up on the game. I can not thank you ALL enough for this forum. It is a wonderful place to come and get help, or just read your stories and ideas, (very big sigh of relief). Every time I have posted a question, I get a response very quickly and get the help and encouragement I need. I can now enjoy my game experience much more knowing that when I get stuck, confused or just need some fresh ideas in creativity, or even a good laugh... I find it here. I especially appreciate the family/friendly environment and that it is upheld. Hopefully I will get to the point where I can give "back" to others when I get "seasoned" enough in the game.

Thanks again.....A ZILLION times over!

Welcome to the site and forum catlvr!  My brother got me hooked on the sims many years ago so I understand that "lets get her interested and playing" :) .
