Welcome Bulfaster!
Not sure about how old a fogie you are; but, being at the retirement age gives you more time for playing! I was put on pre-retirement and am loving every minute of it! Sims ALL day!

Thanks  Ricalynn, Esther1981, Alexandria_ and beccaboo105. Hello Seabody! Thanks - I have so far and sure I will in the future as well TheChronicR.

MoMoll: Well, to my daughters I am an old fogie ;D. I think I am fairly young still. Although my daughters are 24 and 19 and I just retired a year ago from the Army - I will just be turning 40 soon. The math is correct - I, or more properly my girlfriend and I had our 1st daughter very young and that is the only reason I joined the military to begin with. Where else can you start a great career that provides excellent medical for your family at such a young age? I guess I could get a job now, but why when I get an awesome pension? So, I will be playing as usual - a lot!

The only problem is I am an avid gamer. I don't know if you understand the entire gamerscore/achievement concept for us 360 players, but I am in the tops in the world with my score. This means that I beat games very quickly and move to the next one. However, due to the Sims 3 - I have become rather enthused and have since given up on my gamerscore. Thus, causing me to most likely stick around for a very long time as I am really having fun. Although, having 4 sim babies/toddlers in the house at one time has been giving me flashbacks and headaches. lol

Thanks again to everyone for a nice welcome! Sims ALL day!

Here again, I am behind in welcomes for so many newcomers.  I guess better late, than never, so a big welcome to everyone that has joined our community.  It is the best as far as I am concerned and will only continue to grow.  So I hope everyone will find the answers to what they are looking for and enjoy the forum. :)

@Bulfmaster : Guess I top you in age! Now I really feel like an old fogie! HA! Have a 32 year old, 30 year old and a 21 year old and 2 grandkids. And I certainly don't feel old either. I still go out clubbing (can't get the party animal out of me yet)!

Age is just a number my friend! I feel a lot older than I am. One thing about being an ex-Airborne Ranger is your body feels it so much when you get older. Please don't mention grandkids, as I am due one here this year. HA! I just hope he/she comes after I hit 40. That would just seem too weird on my part. I mean I get weird looks when my oldest and I go anywhere together and they find out she is my daughter. Can you imagine the looks when I explain "this is my grandchild not daughter/son"?

Clubbing is something that I do a lot more now than before. Every since Illinois passed the smoking law - I can breathe when I go out so it is more enjoyable for any non-smoker. Just don't get stuck outside the door <cough cough>. Sounds like you have led a good life as well. Keep enjoying what you are doing and talk to you later.  8)

Hello everyone!
I've been playing The Sims 3 since March, and like you all know - this game is SO addictive! I think I found this forum when I was looking for a solution for a minor bug I had with my first family, but I found so many fun & helpful threads I wanted to join the fun myself. At the moment I'm on 4th generation on my first larger family, and have so much fun raising these virtual children and seeing how they turn up. I love the story progression & genetics in this game! (I never played the earlier Sims games)

By the way, I'm 25 years old and live in Finland. Happy simming to all of you!
