Wow - so many new members.  I really need to check in more often on this thread!
Welcome to everyone since I last made my last presence known.  I hope you enjoy the site, discover new ways to play the game, share your stories and generally have a Simmin' good time.
Happy Simming all ;D!

Hi, well after finally registering, it seems to make sense to post here first!

I have been lurking here for quite a while, having stumbled across the Guide trying to find nectar recipes when WA came out, and have dropped by ever since - I have even stopped buying the Prima books because everything I need to know is here! So it really is about time I delurked.

I've played all the Sims games as they have come out, I dread to think how many hours I have devoted to the cause. Finding the time for simming has got a little difficult lately with two children under 3 (the 3 year old loves to choose the clothes in CAS). I'm keen to get started on a Dynasty, having tried and failed to finish a legacy a number of times.

Looking forward to seeing you around!

Welcome Simone!  Is it snowing where you are today?  Our school buses were cancelled again, fun fun!  I am sadly doubting the wisdom of the ground hog.

Greetings everyone and new forum buddies!

I'm a simmer from beginning sims 2. I'm also a Macbook Pro owner. So Sims 3 has been my dream come true. I think this place will be a great fit for me. I have been looking for a place to post and talk about sims that just didn't branch immediately into a "Sims 3 $%^&* (<-- Sorry if that's illegal I won't do it again past this post). For me so far Sims 3 has run beautifully with little glitches. Sims 2 is still a nightmare that never runs correctly. However, Sims ThemePark remains a very much missed game in my family and has the record for being the biggest glitchiest game ever.

Hmmm now about me. Well, I am an amateur writer and never ending college student. I finish my Bachelor's this December which I'm excited about. Also, I have been around the internet volunteering and working for forums to gain experience. My recent employment online was for David Archuleta.

In real life I'm a huge geek and love tweaking computers and games. So I will confess here (and then stop because yes I've read the rules) I've modded my game a bit and played with coding to just frankly figure it out. I think someone keeps instructing me to "hack" constantly or something. However, I always backup my files now.

I wanted to confess that because I am currently experimenting with my first ongoing family. I do want to write a bit about it. Once I figure out the difference in legacy and dynasty I may share it with you guys. I had a bad run with trying to get things published and being harassed on how bad of a writer I was so it's baby steps for me.

Looking forward to this place it seems like a lot of fun. I'm glad I stumbled upon it thanks to a link on the Sims3 Facebook page for the ABC Townie Story which I fell in love with.

I'm actually at work sitting right now debating on sharing the large Brentham family with you guys. However, I'll have to resist my tendency for epic lifespans and triggering age transitions :P

Welcome Nicky!  I'm glad someone actually reads my Facebook posts!  ;)

Just to give you a brief summary, a legacy is a challenge based on rules written by Pinstar on the official Sims 3 Forum.  A Dynasty is a challenge written by Metropolis Man and me here on this Forum.  So, of course, we tend to encourage players to play a Dynasty.  You can do either, though, and you're welcome to post it on whichever Stories board is appropriate.  You're also welcome to use our Gallery to host your Sims 3 pictures.
