Problem: Sims didn't bring items when moved in

Anyone else experiencing this?  I asked a family to move in with my Sim and then they traveled back home to the lot.  When I went into build mode to start building a new house with the items that they should have brought with them, nothing was there.   Part of me is thinking this is an extension of the whole connections, grade a teenager new job bug but there's no proof.  Just want to make sure it's not just my game.

I just started a challenge with three different household and the problem you mention happened to me for all three move-ins.
I didn't check the "Sell All Furnishings" box either.

I've learned something interesting in this trek for answers.  Apparently asking the people to move in when on their property might be the cause of the Glitch.  When I asked them to move in while on MY property, all of their stuff came with them. 


For testing purposes I did remove all CC/Mods/etc.

I'm even having problems with moving my own household to a new lot. Absolutely none of the items in the storage chest or the fridge transferred. Just had an empty chest in the Household inventory. It seems the only way to ensure items move with sims at the moment is to have them placed in the sims personal inventories, which of course limits what you can transfer greatly.

The same thing has been happening in my game.
