Such a cool looking museum!  And I have to say the indoor garden looks pretty sweet too, with the brick flooring.  I think that is a much better location for the mural as well.

How did I forget they're vampires?  LOL.  Doh.  Well what was he doing eating the cake in the first place then.
Lazslo is adorable.  And as for Yumiko, hey.  Her bat transformations make sense in her own head.
Very nice looking mosquito trap, and a much better location for it as well.

Massimo has grown up to be an absolutely gorgeous child.  As a teen, I can definitely see Caleb in him.
I loved Diego taking over the dance lessons.  You never know, the arm flail could be in someday.
LOL... wrong house.  Did you forget who you were playing?

Is it a coincidence that all of your first generation heirs' names all begin with the letter 'm'?

I agree that your museum looks great.  I love the rich, dark colors and wall coverings in the house too.  Such a contrast to all of the homes I am used to seeing.

Massimo is a very attractive teen.  He has such beautiful parents so I guess it wasn't a real surprise that he would be.

Would you give us the phonetic pronunciation of the Sciarri name?  Is is ski-are-ee or ski-air-ee, like scary? Or something else?  I should probably know since I am half Italian.  *hangs head in shame

*locks doors*
*shuts curtains*
*swoons*
That face! He's like a dark angel! Well, Massimo, you promised to make me eat my words about missing your Dad more, and I am settling down with my fork and knife right now. How will I ever wait two sim-weeks to see you again?
On a completely unrelated note, how nice of your Watchette to give you the Active trait. ;)

Recovering my composure slightly, I'm so glad Laszlo got to have his airplane shot with Vlad. I'm sure he loves you deeply, little one! He's just unfathomably old and needs to sleep a lot.

Ilaria could not be cuter. Loved Diego coaching her on the smooth moves of a Lobo!

Lillith is kind of determined to be useless, huh? Take away the skilling objects and she goes right for the talking toilet. Argh.

Sorry Selene's career is giving her so much trouble. I wonder what that's about. I hope she can catch up!

Happy birthdays, Massimo, and congrats on your top-notch rambunctiousness! He makes a very nice teen.

Ilaria is also adorable. You flail those arms if you want to, kid.

I love their house - suitably dark and spooky, but without that too-dark-to-actually-play-in vibe you sometimes get with spooky builds. It's looking great :)

Niche Nerds in Newcrest: Week 3 chez Jade Benjaminz (Part I)
« Reply #94 on: February 14, 2017, 02:55:35 PM »
@Whirligig  I'm basically making a smaller version of each house for its museum, but I enlarged that spider to place over the front door. I need to focus on helping the vampires earn more money--many of the house's rooms still lack floor/wall coverings.
Some sims just make better parents. Caleb literally flies over when any nooboo/toddler cries. His sister Lilith will help Laszlo go potty then leave him starving as she runs downstairs to the treadmill (which is why it's no longer there, hah!).
And it does feel weird ageing children up so quickly. I hesitated for 2 days with the first child (Moss), but now I've made peace with the fact that the families are racing against the clock.

@wfgodot  I'd never bought and placed a mural myself before, which is why I first put it outside. Now Diego doesn't need to wait until dark to work on his career tasks.
Laszlo looks so much like his father--it's crazy. I'm curious whether he'll grow up into a stronger vampire since his parents are collectively higher ranking than Selene and Caleb.
Even if the arm flail became the rage, I can't imagine Lobo wanting any part of it, haha.
And I remembered which family I was playing, but when I got to the Neighborhood menu, I momentarily forgot which house was which. I shouldn't have given them all dark roofing!

@Caterina  Haha, I noticed only later that all the heirs have "M" names. Moss because of the "rolling stone gathers no moss" thing, Murasaki after the author of the Japanese romance The Tale of Genji (circa 1010 C.E.; she's doing Bestselling Author), and Massimo because it's such a cool Italian name!
Yes, I'm happy that Caleb's good looks got passed on to Massimo!
As for the family name, I think the Italian pronunciation is Shyar-ree (with "ar" rhyming with "car" and somewhat of a rolled "r"). Italian speakers, please correct me if I'm mistaken!

@FrancescaFiori  At the time of Massimo's toddler message, I had no idea how he'd turn out, but I'm glad you find him swoon-worthy. I'm laughing that you noticed the Active trait.
As for Lilith, yeah, I need to find her a new hobby--though she'll be extremely useful as Massimo's Logic mentor for Nerd Brain.
Selene's career being behind is definitely my fault. I followed her to work the first two days so she could look for sims to turn. I realized only later that I don't really want the Science Lab overrun with immortal vampires who threaten the other households… She'll be fine--careers that require the Focused mood are fastest to level.

@Alex  Massimo thanks you for the birthday greetings. I'm pleasantly surprised that he actually turned out to look rather Italian, haha. Gah, building! But I secretly confess that this challenge is the first time I've actually enjoyed building this much. It's because, I think, of the need to differentiate the three households.

Chez Jade Benjaminz, Week 3 (Part I)

Sunday

Moss: I've heard through the grapevine that the other two heirs are already teens.
Today, I can't even remember what I was doing for two days after completing Artistic Prodigy.

Anyway, I ask Auntie Yumiko to bake me a birthday cake then age up to a teen right away.

Well, hello there! I'm a Cheerful, Creative sim who aspires to become a Painter Extraordinaire.
First things first, I phone in to join the Retail career at the entry level, a downside of never attending grade school!

Ulrike: Before you start painting, would you pose for your portrait, Moss dear?

Jade: I mentor Moss as he starts painting while Ulrike finishes his portrait. Moss gains painting levels quickly, with Ulrike and I taking turns to mentor him.

Moss: I visit the Willow Creek Art Museum to view three paintings as my aspiration requires.
And, by the way, who needs custom-content hair when you look this good? I'm talking to you, Massimo!

Akiko: I'm pretty sad that Moss aged up without me! My birthday isn't for another 12 whole days!!!
After doing three or four aspirations, I'll brainstorm how to make myself indispensable to Moss.
I am absolutely not losing Moss to that Yuki girl with the turquoise hair! Right, Mama?

Salim: Fern's come along with us the museum, too. Her birthday's in two days and she's very close to becoming a Top-Notch Toddler.
We adults are all very relieved!  We are soooo over toddlers now!

Moss: Since everyone's joined me here, I paint a while at the museum to give them time to enjoy the area.

Monday

Jade: Earlier this morning, thanks to everyone's help in building the household income, I complete Mansion Baron.
All that's left for me to do now is reach Level 10 Master of the Real.

Yumiko: Well, now that Mansion Baron is done, we can stop pinching pennies and hire a gardener!
Let's see, what shall I do with all my new-found free time? Brunch with a friend at Dem Butlers? I love their desserts!

Salim: It would be great for Fern if you could be a Logic mentor…
Yumiko: That makes perfect sense, considering my Logic is currently…Level 1…. *rolls eyes
Sallim: Only Level 1 Logic? So, just go do all the upgrades on the telescope and microscope, k?

Ulrike: In the morning, Fern finishes all her skilling with a day to spare.
You're on your own until tomorrow, kiddo!

Moss: I'm only 3 masterpieces away from becoming a Painter Extraordinaire.
So I'm leveling charisma this evening, since tomorrow's my first day at work.

As much as I love the color of this t-shirt, I feel like its alien abduction image is tempting fate. New everyday outfit, please?

Tuesday

Salim: When Fern's birthday notice arrives, Jade's already left for work so I help Fern age up.

Salim: Using the dresser to plan Fern's outfit forces everyone at school or work to return home at 2 pm.
Jade: Why am I home early? I would have earned my Level 9 promotion today!
Moss: Somehow I'm now a B student.
Akiko: Me, too!
Yumiko: Why do I even bother to go to work?

Well, since you're out front in your new everyday outfit, Moss, let's get Fern out here, too.
Moss: This aloha shirt is my new outfit? I look like a tourist! Why does Fern get all the cool colors?

Fern: Because I'm cuter, obviously. You're just lucky this isn't a legacy challenge, bro! Watchette would probably off you in order to make me the heir.
Moss: She wouldn't!
Fern: So why do you always do that tragic thing with your eyebrows, Moss? It's very unbecoming, you know?
Moss: I do!? It is!?

Jade: Watchette's never used the wishing well before, but we decide to take a risk on the advice of her well-informed chat buddy.
I mean, what if Moss completes all his requirements but can't move out cuz I haven't maxed my career?
What's worse, I only work three days a week now. Let's see if the wishing well can help me.

Jade: The wishing well grants me that Level 9 promotion at the end of my next work day, which is Thursday.
At this rate, the earliest I can max my career will be Monday of Week 4. Sorry, Moss!
Considering my job performance reset by coming home early, though, this is the second best possible outcome. *sobs

Wednesday

Off to school, Moss?
Moss: Yep. Hey, do you think I'm pushing my luck with all the green?
Nah, and people can recognize you from more than a mile away now! Stop worrying!

Ulrike: Whenever Moss does his homework, I see these odd lights around his head. Akiko and Fern, however, don't seem to get the lights. What gives?
Moss: By the way, I'm now an A student. Is Networked even working for my part-time job? *sighs
This must be the work of the Good Schools lot trait!

Morgan: So…I asked Moss if I could come over after school and he invited me to his home.
Now that I'm here, though, he completely ignores me! Where did he go, anyway?
Nothing for me to do but try striking up a convo with his mother and sister Fern. Sheesh!

Jade (internally): Yes, Morgan, we have our eye on you and your stuff, I mean, your family.

Do you have to do that eyebrow thing even while you're in the bath?
Moss: Of course, I do! I could be out there having a delightful chat with Morgan. Instead I'm here, trying to get Very Energized for work.

Fern: I hope Akiko is aware of how many notches she needs to kick up her game!
Jade: Don't say that, Fern, we won't know until Akiko has her teen birthday.
Fern: But she looks kinda frumpy next to Yuki and Morgan, don't you think?
Jade: Ssshhh, you'll hurt her feelings.  *whispers: And yes, I think so, too.

Akiko: Oh ye of little faith, don't you know I'm only in my Ugly Duckling phase right now?

Thursday

Moss: With my fifth masterpiece, I complete Painter Extraordinaire. What else do I need to do now?

Moss: I ask Papa to join me in taking the day off so he can mentor me in Writing, which will be one of my two unique skills.
And see? It's totally not my fault that I have the tragic eyebrows. Go blame Papa!

Salim: While mentoring my son, I receive the most bizarre phone call.
Where did that Diego fellow get the idea that I'd have even the faintest interest in joining the Sciarri Club?

Author's Notes

   • I will go back to waiting until everyone gets home to "plan outfits," because that feature remains broken in my game, sadly.
   • Well, Moss aged up to teen later than the other heirs but he whizzed through his aspiration.
   • He'll have mentors for both his skills, so rest assured that has not fallen behind, though Jade's final promotion might prolong his moving out.
   • And yes, I do wish that Fern had been the heir instead. She's shockingly beautiful as a child.

I love Moss' tragic eyebrows :D Fern really is gorgeous, though. Any way you can get her descendants into a bloodline somehow?

Akiko looks like she could end up really lovely - I like her face shape.

Oooh, Diego needs to reread the challenge rules :D Unless it's a cunning plan to keep his enemies close?

*horrified gasp*

Oh, no! I'm so sorry! I could swear I even read about them fixing that leaving work early bug in the patch notes, but I checked and I must have been thinking of the one that came with City Living where entering Build/Buy mode made everyone come home early. I feel like such a jerk for steering you wrong.
Jade, I know I'm Team Shota, but I swear I would never resort to sabotage to help him get ahead. I swear I'll keep my big mouth shut from now on!

I love Moss's tragic eyebrows, but probably because they remind me of my Thaddeus. I do think he's quite handsome. I know I'm not in a position to make demands right now, but a close-up or two to display Fern's shocking beauty would be appreciated.

Anyway, congratulations to Moss on the Aspiration and Jade on completing mansion baron and climbing back up to the (near) top of her career. Go Benjaminz!

Yup.  The Benjaminz.  I think they're my favorite.

Uh oh Akiko.  I'm very curious to see what she'll look like when she ages up but for now... I'm team Yuki.  I think they'd make really pretty nooboos!
And as for the eyebrows, he can't help it.  He is, after all, Thaddeus's brother.
I have to admit that Fern really is pretty.  Poor Moss!  Sheesh.  Poor Akiko.  Fern, you're gorgeous but that attitude D:  Frumpy, a little girl!

The Sciarris are hungry, Salim.

@Alex  Without going overboard on the nooboos/toddlers in Gen3, I'm planning to have Moss move out then have his sister move in. Or if I didn't want to deal with multiple nooboos, I guess I could leave her home and have Tamari befriend her...what do you think?
But intermingling the bloodlines isn't a good idea, no doubt, so it would be easiest if she moves in with her brother and becomes a Watched sim.
As you can see, I've been puzzling over how to keep Fern's genes in the simverse--she's the best of both parents at this point. Who knows, though, when she's a teen...
And yeah, how silly of Diego to phone Salim!

@FrancescaFiori
Hey, you absolutely do not need to apologize. The problem lies with my game, not you, and I even vaguely remember it working once.
Also, I'm always loving your tips and suggestions, girl! You're the first simmer to teach me about using the closet to plan outfits for unwatched sims!
My dilemma also led me to try out the wishing well for the first time, so that's a plus.

As for close-ups of Fern's shocking beauty with a cheesy background to match...ta da! I couldn't resist cc hair for Fern because...green.

@wfgodot   You are forever the champion of the underdog!  :)  Fern really isn't that evil (I think)--she's busy working on Rambunctious Scamp, in fact.
Her watcher just needed a scapegoat to narrate some possible quadrangular romantic drama. And since Fern's so pretty, I thought she might get away with talking like that.
Beautiful people can be so mean sometimes...

Week 3 chez Jade Benjaminz, Part II

Friday

Akiko: After maxing Social, I skip Social Butterfly and start learning piano since Moss plans to learn violin.
How else can I make myself indispensable?

Moss: Last night, I finally got promoted to Level 2 Sales Floor Clerk after three four-hour work shifts!
I'm guessing that the Networked perk and Entrepreneurial trait don't help with teen careers.

Since yesterday, I've been writing novels with Papa mentoring me, taking breaks to dig rocks whenever they've spawned.
And I'm taking another vacation day off school today.

Fern: I've become a Rambunctious Scamp after completing Whiz Kid yesterday.
Playing video games for hours is not a bad way to spend the day!

Jade: I need Level 6 Logic for my final promotion but recently discovered how much I enjoy the observatory!
Since every Benjaminz heir needs to become my good friend, I've decided to become our bloodline's Logic mentor. I'm almost there!

Maaike: You don't see much of me because I spend most of my time either writing novels or working.
This week, however, I almost singlehandedly completed the Postcards collection.
Salim: Hey, the postcards from Riverview and Champs les Sims were sent to me!
Maaike: I said "almost," didn't I? Sheesh, I can't enjoy even my one screenshot in peace!

Yumiko: I'm the household member who keeps the party going!
Whenever anyone's needs get low, they text me and I rally the troops with Ulrike.

Moss: Once I hit Level 9 Writing, I really need to take a break. How many hours have I been sitting at the computer? My eyes need a rest, too!
I'm looking for collectibles to take with me when I move out, while also farming some points from The Curator.

Yumiko: Since Moss isn't writing, I get to take a break, too! Fishing is really fun!
Wait a minute! Am I truly relaxing or just earning more points for the family to spend?

Hey, Yumiko! You've maxed Handiness so buy yourself the Mentor trait, okay?
Yumiko (whispers): See what I mean?

Yumiko: I hear a strange sizzling sound and look over to see a woman fishing.
It's that blond vampire again! Doesn't she know that she needs to stay out of the sunlight?

Fern: Yes, that's right! I'm taking a vacation today. No, I'm not sick but I'm busy.
You see, we switch households in two days so I need to stay home and work on aspirations.
Yes, Akiko will be taking the day off for the same reason, too, but she'll phone you herself.

Jade: I did get my Level 9 career promotion yesterday, just as the wishing well predicted.
Today, I need to boost my job performance to ensure I'll earn my last promotion on my next work shift.
Moss can use the extra time to finish up his requirements, so the timing works out after all.

Moss: Thanks to Papa and Maaike, I'm done with the Writing skill before noon.
With the extra points from partially completing Bestselling Author and a few other aspirations, I can buy the four required reward traits, too.

Fern: Auntie Ulrike is helping me with Artistic Prodigy.
The Social skill and Social Butterfly? I'm not going to even bother with those!

Yumiko: I invite over some random sims I meet at the grilling area to help me build the rocket.

Et tu, Yuki? Tsk, tsk! I wonder what Shota would say!
Yuki: Oh come on, it's not like I could have refused!

Moss: I ask my former nanny over to help me with the violin skill.
She's so dressed up that no one recognizes her at first.

Yumiko: Thanks for helping me upgrade the landing stabilizers, Maaike!
Maaike: No problem. It's rather nice to get out of the writing room for a change.

Moss: A little privacy, please!
Sorry, Moss! I wanted you to be able to play the violin until the last minute.
But if you don't get your Level 3 promotion tomorrow night, you don't work again until Tuesday of Week 4.

Saturday

Jade: Once Fern finishes Artistic Prodigy, I stop what I'm doing to start mentoring her in Logic. After Moss moves out, the plan is for him to move Fern in.
Moss is a Creative sim while Fern is a Genius sim, so they can support each other.

Jade: We all tease Yumiko but she is really such a miracle worker!
On her very first trip ever to outer space, she brings back an elusive U.F.O. plant!

Moss: Everything seems to be falling into place for me.
I max my Violin skill in time to take a Muscle-Relaxing Soak and Brisk Shower before leaving for work!

Akiko: And I reach Level 10 Piano around the same time! Yay me!

Moss: Tonight, I earn my final promotion in the Retail career to Customer Support.
Just as I'm sitting down so Watchette can take a commemorative shot, guess who phones?

I can't go celebrate with Morgan tonight, of course, because we switch households, but I do phone her back!
And, for the sake of fairness, I give Yuki Behr a phone call, too!
Hmmm, things are not looking good for Akiko. We need to age her up!

Moss: It's Triple Relationship Boost Week with Jasmine Holiday until February 21st!
Now's a good time for me to make my good friends! Except that we switch households in two hours...Hmmmm.

The stats of all the founders and heirs can be seen together in the Meet the Contenders section, but I provide them below for the Benjaminz

4 am, can't sleep!  At least I get here and see you've updated.
I wouldn't call Moss the underdog, he is the heir after all!  Lol.  How quickly Watchette pushes him aside.  The heir, underdog.  Pfft!
I feel bad for the true underdog, Akiko, who is trying so hard.  I hope she grows up pretty.  And poor Maaike!
Okay maybe I am the underdog champion.
Love Yumiko rallying the troops as Ulrike appears to ignore her.  Don't leave her hanging!
Had a laugh at the sizzling noise too.

Aww, I like the alien abduction shirt. But I understand the whole 'tempting fate' thing. Almost too well. Hawaiian shirt looks good.

Darn those pesky days off getting in the way of promotions.

I've had the dresser thing bring sims home, too, so it's not just your game. I just don't plan outfits very often.

And Fern is definitely gorgeous! I can't wait to see what you decide to do with her. :)

EDIT: Oh hey, once again, there's another chapter. :P

I can definitely relate to playing video games for hours to spend the day, Fern.

That shot of the garden in the sunset is absolutely gorgeous!

And oooh, which gorgeous girl is Moss going to choose?

Oh, gosh! Things are really heating up in the competition to win Moss's heart! I actually think Akiko is really cute, so I'm going to root for that particular underdog, but Yuki is such a favorite, and Morgan's a real hottie so . . I'm on the edge of my seat!

Fern has such sass! Totally up front about skipping school even though she's not sick. You got a problem with that, school officials? Didn't think so!

Maaike's looking good! Even if she's not playing a major role, life in the Benjaminz Household seems to be treating her well!

@wfgodot   I don't think of Moss as an underdog at all, but I was just having a laugh at your "Poor Moss. Poor Akiko."   :-D  Oh champion of the undergo, we haz a special surprise for you in this chapter!
Yes, I'm also hoping that Akiko will be a pretty teen, if only because I really like both her parents. What? Poor Maaike, too?!

@Whirligig  I agree with you that the dark olive-green T-shirt with the alien abduction scene of the kitty is super cool. And I'm wavering about the aloha shirt, because Moss really looked good in his navy-blue work clothes as well.
Still trying to decide who I'd like to see Fern with and who should be the spouse of…well, all of the second-generation heirs.

@FrancescaFiori  Akiko is happy to hear that she has the support of both you and wfgodot. She faces some stiff competition in the form of Yuki (super cute and highly skilled) and Morgan Fyres (who would bring her family and untold riches with her), but she is doing what she can!
I'd like to hook one of my ladies up with Sergio Romeo at some point, and I think he suits the Mansion Barons better than he would fit in with the Mori's or Sciarris. With the triple relationship boost week in gear, my sims should probably trolll the clubs to seek out new local (random) talent. Decisions, decisions.

Week 3 chez Shota Mori, Part I

Sunday

Shota: Oops, you caught me in the observatory! Okay, okay, I'll finish my daily task!
I see that your Fitness is Level 5 now. Is that from jogging around the other neighborhoods? Hmmm?

Candy: Murasaki needs to write at least 11 more books for Bestselling Author, so I've gone back to working on that aspiration myself. She doesn't need mentoring!
Murasaki: That's right! I have Level 9 Writing already, thanks to Mama, but I'm still working on the second milestone.
Dad works this afternoon, so the café won't be opening until dinner time.

Tamari: By the time Auntie Summer finally maxes Painting and is able to mentor, I'm nearly at Level 9 already. Oh well, every little bit helps, I guess!
Summer: Sheesh! Who knew that Top-Notch Toddlers grew up to so unappreciative?
Do you honestly not remember all the time I spent reading to you when you were a toddler?
Tamari: Sorry, Auntie Summer! *sheds crocodile tears

Travis: Sure, I'll mentor you, Yuki. It will be so cool if Liberty, you, and I all become Nerd Brains!
Yuki: Thanks so much, Travis! Only two more levels to max Logic!
Travis: Hey, I noticed you stepped out last night. You go clubbing or something?
Yuki: Oh yeah, Knights of the Hedge called a meeting.
*whispers: Watchette, don't you dare tell anyone here that I'm BFFs with Moss Benjaminz!
Hey, my lips are sealed!

Liberty: All of us helpers take turns doing our bit in the garden, so Yuki will have time to learn other skills.
What I really want to do, though, is finish upgrading our rocket ship so we can go explore Sixam.

Murasaki: Virginia Woolf would be pleased indeed to hear that The Helpers now have "A Room of Their Own."
Besides the usual décor, there's a wall plaque to honor wfgodot who lobbies ceaselessly for the better treatment of spares and helpers worldwide.

Who me? Of course, I'm familiar with Virginia Woolf! In 1924, she wrote a book review of the first English translation of The Tale of Genji.
And I'm named after that tale's author, Murasaki Shikibu, remember?

Tamari: Why are you cooking again, Papa? I thought that, when you and Mama return from work, we'd open up the cafe!
Shota: That was the plan, son. But I got a promotion and need to be back at work in three hours.
Don't forget to ask Watchette to kit you out with a butler's outfit, Tamari!
You'll be working part-time at the café from Thursday if you get an A!

Tamari: Cool! Murasaki, too?
Shota: Ssshh, don't tell her, but she'll probably stay in the café's back room, working on her requirements.

Monday

Liberty: I'm trying to learn more about Rocket Science, but I might have tried too hard to boldly go where no geek has ever gone before!
Yuki: We're just glad you returned safely. Let's rebuild the rocket, shall we?

Wow, you and a rocket, Yuki! This is so déjà vu!
Yuki: Just you hush! *rolls eyes

Just learn the woodworking schematic in the backyard, Yuki!
Yuki: Fine, have it your way! I wanted to go to Granite Falls and learn it the old-school way.
But no, we all need to stay on the lot because Murasaki is writing her novels. *sighs

I get that you're proud of yourself for painting that masterpiece painting, Tamari. I really do.
But you need to feel inspired so you can learn to play the piano. Go stargaze or something.

Tamari: Hey, I tried taking a thoughtful shower! But my awesomeness is overpowering Inspired mood. *shrugs then goes stargazing

Yuki: First, logic and now handiness. You're such a great mentor, Travis!
Travis: Yeah, people have been known to say that about me!
Yuki: And did you change your hairstyle and grow a little facial hair?
Travis: Finally!!! Yes, I changed them both last week but, sadly, nobody's even noticed! Or cared. Ouch!

Tuesday

Summer: Okay, I finish fertilizing that batch of seven plants, now to run over to Tamari and…!
Shota: Hey, get back to the garden, Summer! A dozen or so more plants still need fertilizing!
Summer: But…but…but…
Shota: But nothing! You stay away from Tamari--he is not for you!
Summer: *drags feet back to the garden (don't you dare feel sorry for her, wfgodot! lol)

MurasakI: I need three bestsellers to complete my aspiration, so I'm taking a break before school starts.
Collecting things to take with me when I move out is not a bad idea.
Oh look, a dragonfly!  Dragonflies figure in the original name of ancient Japan (Akitsu-no-shima) and also symbolize victory. It must be an omen of good things coming my way!

And I love this Japanese lacquer comb with dragonfly motif (circa 19th century), housed in Musee Guimet, France.

Why are you leveling your Charisma, Shota? You're already a Level 9 Chef!
Shota: I'm not sure what I should be doing since I finished skilling for my career.
Well, why not continue leveling Fitness? That way, when you go jogging in the other 'hoods, photobombing the landscape photos will be more scenic!
Shota: Huh?!

Summer with the Active trait: No one's ever noticed me when I jog in the other neighborhoods.

Shota: During the past two weeks, Liberty and Yuki got new jobs which I have them quit this morning.
Just before 11 am, I open the restaurant then travel there with those two plus Summer.

When we arrive, everyone is standing around with 3-star reviews over their heads.
Then one party sits down and the rest of them mill around their table. Ugh!

Shota: Today, Jade Benjaminz is "that customer" who never sits down to order.
Instead, she prevents other patrons from leaving (and paying) in a timely fashion.
Why does someone from the Benjaminz house come here every single time we open? Sheesh!

Summer: Liberty and Yuki both have L8 Rocket Science, so they get to go home and skill.
Shota: Well, I'd have let you go, too, but there's really nothing for you to do at home by yourself.

Summer: Would you please explain why I'm over here fishing instead of at the café with you?
Shota: Because you're always trying to chat with me instead of checking on the patrons or clearing tables…
Meet Summer Holiday, official deadbeat of the Mori household.

Shota: That Jade with her four-star review is too much!
After the pair at the outdoor table pays and leaves, she starts working another table indoors.

Shota (phones): Hey, baby girl! Since you're home from school, you wanna come to the café and help us both out?

Murasaki: You there! Yes, I'm talking to you, lady! You must be Jade Benjaminz.
You and your 4-star review certainly have a lot of nerve, prancing around here without ordering anything!

Jade: Wait, what? What exactly are you talking about? I don't understand!
Murasaki: Don't bother trying to deny it, either! We're on to you!
Papa's trying to run a business here, not a charity where you can flit around socializing!
You're just trying to prevent this café from being a five-star establishment!

Jade: How dare you accuse me of stooping so low!
Patron: Don't look now, but the green lady seems to be losing…

Murasaki: Drop the innocent act, lady. I officially declare you my enemy! Now, you can either sit down and order, or go home!

Hostess: Hmmm, I kinda want to go home, but I kinda want to stay and watch the cat fight...

Shota: Good girl, Murasaki! And we even end the day with a 4.5-star rating!

Murasaki: That was some unsavory business at the café. I wonder why Papa didn't just handle it himself?
Oh well, I at least have made one of my two required enemies.
And now, I'm off to my first day of work!

Yes oshizu, poor everyone!  And poor Summer!  So mistreated in this household, even by the other spares.  LOL!  Just kidding.  Hey, it had to be expected that Tamari would be awesome.
Murasaki looks super cute in that picture of her writing with Candy.
Yuki, BFF with Moss?  She's getting closer isn't she.  She really wants that spot as his wife.

Oh nice, a wall plaque in my honor!  You're welcome spares.  I hope you enjoy your new room.  May I never be forgotten!  (Now I'm going to be grinning like a fool at work today every time I sneak a peak at the forums on my phone!)

I feel you on the inspired, Tamari.  I'm trying to have Tessa cook 2 meals while inspired, but every time, she drops the inspired mood and out comes the confidence on the way to the fridge.  Sigh.  Get over yourself!
Summer... lol.  Poor Summer!  Gosh Watchette can't you just take one little picture of her next time she's jogging past a rival's house?

Very sneaky of Jade.  I applaud her efforts.  Even though the Benjaminz are my favorite, I have to admit I enjoyed watching Murasaki tell Jade off.  Your intentions were too obvious Jade.  (try again though).
