Build Mode Problems

Hello, my friend is having an issue with build mode. She can enter build mode perfectly fine, it is then when the issues begin, she cannot see buy any items or build anything due to the fact that she cannot see the option to, she can only see the lot in which she is trying to build/buy on. She also cannot leave build mode causing us to have to close Sims 4 and open it again. This issue is repetitive and we don't know what or how to stop it.

I don't know if this is useful info. but she owns a Sims 4 disc, she didn't download it.

Here are a few tips to try:

1. Delete Game Cache and localthumbcache.package file in the main folder.

If the above doesn't help, try this:

Move your mods folder to the desktop and try repairing the game. In Origin, right-click on Sims 4 and select Repair.

Check again to see if it's working better. If it is, you may have some outdated mods. This especially happens after a big game patch. See link below for more information on mods and game updates/patches.
