@FrancescaFiori  I think the most gorgeous pic of Salim is when he is holding his son Mij as a baby. He is one hot sim!
I picked singing as i think i'm going to try "hobby" skills as everyone's unique skill first i.e piano, violin, fishing. These are skills i can leave until YA whilst prepping career skills up ahead of time as a teen.

Chapter 3: Happy Toddlers and the third 10 Salim points

On the second free day Mitch and Gavin decided to spend some "quality" time with the women they had met on the first free day.
Mitch decided Dina would make a beautiful baby mama and Gavin fell for Liberty.





On the free day everyone again concentrated on getting ready for promotions at work or completing some more of their aspirations. Hiren tried especially hard and got to level 5 communication and was the last sim still awake before time ran out (Watchette: As each skill  maxed is +2 points i had to have some skills completed on a free day so i didn't get to the next 10 so quickly with twins skilling so well and 7 sims in the house)


J liked to wake up in the mornings and go turn on the TV first thing, which is exactly what he did on Monday morning ahead of work



Meanwhile Salim had noticed that somehow a trash plant had grown outside. He needed to sort that out after work. 


Whilst most of the household went to work, Zoe decided to go gaming...as she does every day instead of looking after her boys.


Zoe obviously heard her watchette making that sarcastic comment as a few hours after she actually decided to look after her son. It shocked the watchette even more that it was Hiren and not her favourite Mij.


Monday was a good day for promotions.
First Salim got promoted to level 6 Writer and decided he wanted to focus his career as an Author, though he thought it was typical Zoe had broken the PC at this crucial moment in his life. (21/50)


Then Gavin also came home from the same office having been promoted to Advice Columnist. Though i think secretly he is dreaming of being an astronaut. (22/50)


Finally J came home with his second promotion. (23/50)


Tuesday was Salim's day off. He decided to work on Potty Training his sons.
But first he wanted to work on Hiren's thinking skill. Even though Hiren is independent he did not seem to mind this. No tantrum was thrown.


The Benali family also got some time in for a family get together over food and TV.

I think Mij has just realised that soup and hands are not a good combination 

Whilst all this was going on, Gavin was happily in his own world getting his Geek Groove on.


By the end of the day, first Hiren and then Mij mastered their potty training (4 points=27/50).



As the favoured child everyone came along to watch Mij accomplish the task.

The next day Wednesday, Hiren and Mij aged up into Children. Considering their parents are good looking sims, they aged up quite plain.
Whilst Hiren was aging up:


Mij took to one last trip to the toybox and played with Fred, his Purple Tentacled friend, bringing his imagination skill to level 5 at the last moment:


(watchette: which was a surprise for me as it meant i only had 1 more point to get so my 3rd free day was happening a bit sooner than i wanted it too)

Hiren was a Happy Toddler and grew up with 2 levels in Motor and Social, he also become a bit of a Goofball- his brothers toddler way's rubbing off on him. He decided he wanted to be a social butterfly.


Mij was also a Happy Toddler and grew up with 2 levels in Creativity. He has developed an appreciation for food in his toddler years and grew up as a Glutton. He decided he wanted to become an artistic prodigy.


Zoe and Salim did a makeover on the boys room:


During their first day as children, Hiren showed that he liked to do homework without his parents nagging him (watchette: long may this continue)


Whilst Mij definitely took after his mum.


Everyone went to bed happy on Wednesday evening. On Thursday Salim woke up and spoke to his boys and watched TV to get enough satisfaction for the final point to get a free day (3300/3290) (30/50).

I don't think your twins are plain-looking at all! They are both very, very cute!
Big eyes, nicely-shaped lips, perky nose!
It's funny how different their personalities seem to be, though.
Good thing Hiren the heir is the one who autonomously does his homework!

@oshizu I'm glad their personalities are a bit different, it makes it interesting to watch what they will do. For example straight after they aged up Hiren, the social butterfly, went and drew on the activity table whilst Mij, the artistic prodigy, got into a long conversation with Mitch and Zoe!

Mij autonomously did his homework at the start of the free day too just as Salim was getting his last satisfaction points from the TV. Fingers crossed they both continue wanting to do that.

For homework, I use @reggiko's hint to get my Sim to level 2 wellness and then "discuss cognitive focusing methods" with the child. That puts them in a focused mood and more likely to do homework.

Oh yes, i forgot i read that in her townie attempt. Thanks Marian, i'll use that if i need to. But i do have two rooms with focused things in them already so here's hoping thats enough!

I think they boys are quite cute, but the real test will be when they age up to teens. I bet they'll be stunners! Good thinking on the focused rooms. I hope they do their jobs.

Surprising (and probably frustrating) that you're actually getting points faster than you want them. Pacing seems to be a really tough part of this challenge.

I think 7 sims is probably too many for a Townie Dynasty. I'll have to play through a couple of generations first but i think the ideal is 4-6 sims in the household (more 4-5).

Would Mods be able to move this to graveyard for a bit as a story on hold- not going to have time to devote to it in the next few months.
