Upon seeing this, my jaw dropped like a stone; I wasn't expecting this at all based on how long people had been asking for it. :o
Having looked through the items, there appears to be 4 toddler skills, though I don't know how many levels there are in each.

Now all that's left are pets and witches and my experience is complete. As for the latter, in my experience, Sims 2's Apello Servantus is a must to return (I like that better than 3's Restoration Ritual); the rest can be anything they can think of.

What a nice surprise!  How awesome that we got toddlers before the 2017 Baby Boomer Challenge!

Not sure where to post this and (unless I missed it) didn't see it in the Toddler guide.  When my Toddler aged up to Child, she gained 1-2 points in the corresponding Child skills from the Toddler skills.

Communication=Social
Imagination=Creativity
Movement=Motor
Thinking=Mental

For Toddler skills where she'd reach level 4 or 5, she gained 2 skill points in the relevant Child skill.  For those with three points, she gained 1 skill point.  She didn't have any Toddler skills at 2 or less so I don't know if you get Child skill points yet from those.

I have a Sim couple who have my first toddler today.  I don't see her?  Her Mom sees her, carries her all over the place.  Her Dad sees her, keeps wanting to put her on the potty, but I don't see her?  Is this a bug others have experienced?  Can anyone tell me how to get her to materialize?  Thank You!

I looked up toddlers never excepting to see toddlers are here. I half way excepted to be a mod or joke, I'm so happy it's real. I always thought The Sims 4 was great with all the stuff you could do with multitasking and emotions. I thought how cool would multitasking be with toddlers, now they're here, I can't believe it! If I'm dreaming, please don't pinch me.

Welcome to the forum, @BeckyB576! The first question is, do you have any mods installed? Apparently most of the bugs associated with the toddler update come from mods that aren't compatible.

I posted this on another thread I started.  Seems for now, the culprit mods are "no mosaic" mod and "faster skills" mod. There might be others, but I really don't use that many mods.  Only problem with having to take the faster skills mod out, all sims lose most of the skill points.  Most of mine that were maxed out, only have 1 to 5 skill points.  I am very glad they added toddlers, so my thoughts on this are mostly positive.

Pretty much assume that all the mods are broken until you see an update from the creator on their website or timblr etc. Even the smaller seemingly unconnected mods for random things like gardening etc can be broken by this toddler patch.

You should always first play your game after any patch with all mods and cc removed. It's easy to do and once satisfied that everything is working then quit without saving. Enable or place your mods and cc again and play. If there are issues now you will know immediately if it is mods. Saves a lot of frustration and time testing this way.

I'm so excited to see toddlers. Luckily for me, my mods and stuff were already gone because I needed a new hard drive. Actually, four. All four were failing. To be fair a couple were about 10 years old. I still can't access downloadable content through the game, but at least I can look at it online.

Okay, I'm probably going to sound strange, but I have never liked the toddlers in any variations of the sims franchise.

Though, reading about the toddlers and hearing about their developments, I'm curious to try them out and see how they change the dynamics within my generations.

Very excited about the addition of toddlers as a family player. I'm not finding them that difficult to deal with even though it seems most are. Honestly, I'm finding it pretty easy to level them up in the five categories. However, I'm only playing a household with one toddler so we'll see what happens when I have multiple toddlers.

I must say, playing with a toddler that has the Independent trait quite annoying, but there are a few side benefits to it.

Downs: They frequent get the Angry moodlet for disobeying an adult and makes it a bit harder for attention to fill should it be needed. This results in regular relationship drops.

Ups: You don't need the bother the adults for potty training cause they can train themselves right from the get-go. They also need less attention than normal.

Several of them with different traits can cause a LOT of mayhem. :D

I was ecstatic when they added them---finally. They are freakishly adorable, especially how they wobble when they walk! They also seem to me to be more challenging to take care of than sims 3 todds.

I bought the Sims 4 during the Black Friday sale, and it initially was very difficult for me to get entertained and most important, to get attached to my sims. I had given up playing after a few weeks, but I restarted for toddlers, and they're so adorable ! It's awesome to discover them making progress, making the game more challenging, and they're just so cute <3 They're the best toddlers ever made ! They brought back some of the joy I've had playing with older versions of the Sims and even though they can't radically change my personal feelings of the base game, I hope that new content will be just as amazing as toddlers are.
