Doctor Career

I'm at level 8 and can't seem to get the opportunity to deliver a baby so I can advance.  The requirement pops up but no pregnant person appears at the hospital.  What to do?

Just keep going to work with the doctor. A woman in labor will arrive within a few sims days.

There is an open bug report about this. If a pregnant sim doesn't arrive within a few work days I would cheat your sim to the next level as in many games a pregnant sim does just not spawn.

It's not unusual in a non-bugged game to have to wait up to 2 sim weeks for this even to happen though.

I hadn't heard about that bug...bummer, one of my sims (my favorite one) just got to that level of the doctor career.

Yeah, it's a bit annoying for sure. I haven't had it this time around but my last doctor just simply never had the opportunity crop up so I had to cheat him to the next level. Weirdly the next day at work a pregnant sim arrived.  ::)
