Many happy congratulations to you, Alex!

It's so impressive that you whizzed through this entire challenge in 42 days. Wow, that's only six weeks!
I'm really glad you shared your journey with us so that I could get to know not only your sims and your simming style but you as well.
Your occasional mention of your sims staying off the home lot to avoid lag made me smile.
Your remark about staying at Discotheque Pan Europa gave me the idea that the club hangout downstairs could be converted into a mini-home-away-from-home with showers, only because game lag from about the sixth generation becomes so conspicuous and barely tolerable.

You mentioned not being able to take screenshots and I wonder if your C key stopped working (which happens to me once a week).
Quitting, repairing the game, and restarting will fix it for me, if I'm at a place where I feel like saving and stopping.

Also, I'm curious about your choice of Serial Romantic and Joke Star as your last aspirations. For story value, the circumstances of the 8th heir, or your liking of these two aspirations?

Way to dominate the Immortal Dynasty Challenge, Alex! I'm very much looking forward to what you do next and selfishly hope you will do another Sims 4 challenge. hehe
Cheers! Hip-hip-hooray! *throws confetti and rose petals

Thank you!!! ;D Not sure Chloe's life was that fun (she mostly spent it at work and writing, until the file got too laggy and I gave up on trying to increase my museum value any further), but she seemed to enjoy the Serial Romantic part ;)

Many happy congratulations to you, Alex!

No, it wasn't just the C key (happens to me a lot as well, and usually fixes when I reload the game) - the camera controls button broke too, which usually works even when the keyboard is dead. I eventually got it back on about the fifth reload having restarted my computer a couple of times, but by then Chloe was almost an elder.

On the aspirations, the first thing I did was to plan out all the collections based on likely value, and somebody was always going to do comedy books (and therefore Joke Star, because why not). I put it last because I wanted to give the comedian my full attention so I could micro-manage them to keep them safely Very Playful but out of hysteria. I was going to do Outdoor Enthusiast instead of Serial Romantic, but all the scrolling I have to do when collecting in Granite Falls always makes my arm hurt, and my shoulder had gone all stiff anyway. Chris had done Big Happy Family, and a couple of people had Successful Lineage, so that left Master Mixologist and Public Enemy (both requiring a career change, and I hate Public Enemy), or Grilled Cheese, which I had my eye on as a possible source of extra Potion of Youth-buying points if the game went on much longer. Serial Romantic worked out though, because its charisma requirements overlapped the comedy career.

I’m feeling pretty burned out on dynasties at the moment – might try a legacy at some point, though :D

And thank you!

Well done, Alex!  I spent the entire day reading your story and the remarks and am just amazed at how fast it was.  A lot of fun reading and very entertaining.  Just what I needed today!
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!
