Where did Grim go?

Just like the subject line says.  Grim no longer shows up when my sims die.  I knew that my elder sim was close to passing and then I noticed his picture was gone.  I thought I would never find the urn.  So there is no mourning or sad moodlets, sort of like they never existed.  Anyone else having this problem?  I guess I could go to the official site, but I don't wanna, lol.

OMGZ The last patch poofed Grim? Ok i'm really sad now..... LOL

Could these black smokey circles be Grim's remains?  RIP Grim .

Oh! I've had this issue a few times. if you have a sim with a relationship with Grim try calling him to hang out on the lot as that seems to make him appear in the game again. If you can't do that check that the game hasn't randomly placed Grim into a household.

Other that that all I can think to do is delete the localthumbcache.package file from your The Sims 4 folder and then hop back into game and drown a few elderly NPC/townies (probably quickest way) to see if you can force Grim to Spawn.

@Playalot --- Thanks, I'll check all of the households in managed worlds.  Drown a few elders...lol .  Good plan though to see if Grim spawns.

Mayhaps Grim was culled from the game? How does the game perceive him, I wonder. Is he like a regular Sim with a reaper perk?

Maybe he was.  I don't like to see him because I don't like spooky things, but he's not that bad --- except when he pops up when you're not paying attention...lol .  However, I wonder what will happen to dead Sims if he was culled.

When the sim dies, the urn just shows up.  It still has all the interactions, just not grim coming to get them.  I am going to try playalots suggestion and see if that works.  I haven't seen grim in a while, so not sure if he is friends with any of my sims or even if he is in the friends list.

@Saltypaws  --- It's good that the Sims who die can still be placed in urns.  Checking manage worlds or friend's lists is a good idea.

It happened  to me once about a year ago.  Grim was my main Sim family's neighbor in Newcrest .  He lived in Tranquil Crescent.

@Rangervegas  yes only it was at gen 7 of my ID so it wasn't that funny at the time! I still have the old save file somewhere with Grim in a house lol in fact I used it to get some of the screenshots for my black widow story that I gave up on~!

@CuriousSim  all you need is the base game for the Grilled Cheese aspiration as it was introduced with a free patch.

@CuriousSim --- Good luck completing your aspiration.  My husband is going to have one of his first Sims (Dude Lebowski) do the Grilled Cheese aspiration (he's learning TS4 and only has the base game.)
