Unwanted baby

Theres this baby in my game inside a crib and the game can't recognise it as a baby instead it recognises it as a thing. but i can still press it and options comes up. but when i press them my sims are confused and does nothing, and I can't delete it how do you delete it?

Use Testingcheats and shift click and destroy it (that is, that you want to really get rid of it. And not keep it. Its also able to reset it that way - i think)

Sorry i couldn't find any other solution. Im not even sure this will help, but worth a try.

About your sims' confusion:
My sims get question marks over their heads when one is trying to interact with a baby but another sim has already queued up an interaction with the baby.

Like, the baby cries, one of the children on the opposite end of the house throws a whim to interact with the baby, which prevents the parent from actually feeding the baby or changing the baby's diaper.

On the other hand, if you simply want to be rid of the baby, can't you go to the CAS screen then click on the baby at the lower left of the screen to delete it?
(Or did you have to go to Manage Worlds/Household Management/CAS?)

@oshizu --- you can do that for all other Sims, so try it for the baby .

@shotie23 --- I hope oshizu's suggestion works for you.  I think it will!
