Painting garage door doesn't work

I purchased a garage door for my sims to paint on, but I seems like it doesn't work properly. My sim leveled from painting lvl 1 to lvl 7 while painting the garage door, but no paint shows up. Does it take exteremely long or is this a bug? Has anyone tried this yet? (At Home).

Update: I removed the invissible street art and started over. Now it works.
