This
MAY be of some comfort to those suffering from "French Adventure Board Syndrome"
The Story So Far ... Harry Hotspur is a full-time adventurer, and he's done all the Tombs except two [in France, of course]. We had given up hope of him ever getting the last 2 Adventures in the Nectary Cellar. However, we sent him again today ... on an 11 day trip.
The Board was rubbish, as usual. Either nothing during a 24-hour period, or just one small 'filler' like "Deliver a bottle of wine to ...". So we kept Harry busy clearing up everything he could find in every Tomb he's done before, and excavating everywhere he could. The days went by. Boring, but very profitable [I think he made §200,000]. But we were very patient on this occasion, and checked the Board every day after it reset. Then, on the 9th day of 11,
BINGO!! The adventure that leads to Isael's Tomb in The Nectary [after the side trip to Egypt with 6 beetles, to get The Ruby of Sikhara]
Harry will finally get his last two French Tomb collection items.
.........
Now see what Frey said back on 28 January ...
Oh and I also think it gets worse during long trips. The longer my Sims have spent in France, the worse the adventures board will behave. And apparently now it's giving me only one adventure option per day (all of them minor or already completed); if I cancel that adventure no other pops out during the rest of the trip, until I get tired of it and send my Sims home.
I have a feeling that the game
might just be programmed to 'save the good stuff until last', so that you have a bit of time pressure to get things completed before your Sim runs out of travel time. And perhaps
we just get bored, and send our Sims home?
Look at it another way ... with a finite number of adventures, how is EA going to program them to fill the time when Sims go on LONG trips?
Perhaps they fill the Board adventures list from the
end of the trip?
Only my opinion, of course. But some folks might like to try testing with short trips, and see what happens.
