Low Mood Since Patch
« on: December 02, 2010, 12:00:46 AM »
Ever since installing the latest patch, just a few days ago my sims moods are always low, no matter how high their needs are.
It seems to me to have something to so with the patch as I played the same family the day before with no such problems.
No Custom Content or Mods installed.

Anyone have any ideas?

I know I can try uninstalling all the games and re-installing, but I'd really rather not lose the family I am currently playing.
We could learn a lot from crayons:
Some are sharp, some are pretty,
Some are dull, some have weird names,
And all are different colors....but
They all exist very nicely in the same box.

I had the exact same problem. I restarted my game today, and my sim is 'Very Happy' now with his +45 mood boost. I wonder what the problem was?

Hi Sybilla
Same thing here, I restarted and everything was back to normal.
Not sure what caused it, but just glad it is fixed.  ;D

Seems to be random in my game. Hopefully a fix soon.

I had it happen me today.  I did what Sybilla did.  Exited my game then restarted it.  My Sims moods went back to "normal".  It is very strange.  At least there is an easy fix for when it happens.

Ended up uninstalling and reinstalling, then manually patching to before the latest update. Working fine. CC works fine. All gameplay elements work fine.

I had this too. It usually happens when they get up from bed, suddenly their mood is bad, even if they have some good moodlets. This is really annoying trying to get your sim a famous actor...

Edit: I cleared my game from all custom content. It seems to not have solved the mood problem, which is incredibly great. (But now everything looks kind of boring to me. Not used to play without downloads any more.) And now my sim constantly changes to formal wear. I mean, she does this at home. The NL-patch is more like a NL-Bug, right?

It happen to me too, but,

Needs bar high, but mood low, with frowned face. What I did was, I ordered my sim to watch TV, he sat down, turn on the tv, and presto, mood became normal. So in my case, I don't need to restart the game. It appears that the slightest fun-boosting activity made my sim mood normal. Maybe you guys should try it too.  :)

I did try this.  TV, books, dancing, painting, none of it cheered my sims up.  I'm about to see if starting them over does.

Then try this, go to spa and get full package for your sims. It's about 7500 simoleons. It will give you 'Completely at Ease' moodlet with +70 positive mood for a full week. In my case, my sim's mood is green all the way. If that still doesn't work, then.. I don't really know why.  ;)

I just ran into this problem too.  I found out that he didn't like his house or I should say, certain rooms in the house.   He would go from room to room and his mood would change.  I finally got tired of changing his house, so I moved him into another house and instant mood lift and he has not gone down yet.  Go figure, lol. :)

I'm pretty sure it was a bug.  I trashed those sims and started over, and didn't have the problem anymore.
