The Multiple Household Problem
« on: October 25, 2016, 12:34:10 AM »
Hey there, I recently moved into my new flat and find myself playing The Sims 3 as I have no internet. Having no internet makes downloading mods difficult so I'm really looking for an alternative method to fixing my problem. I've heard of awesome mod but don't know what it's about so feel free to tell me about it. Now I'm going to explain my sims so I will apologise for the paragraphs.

I started with my gezzah. Most people in sims are ugly so I gave him a bird and I thought I'd give the bird a sister (sidedish) well I didn't marry her I married some bird called holly up in that big mansion. Then moved my bird and her sister in with us. I then placed holly in a tomb awaiting her death in the garden whilst I proceeded to see to said bird in the marital bed. Holly died and I sold the house to fund me buying the mansion I built.

Well the bird wanted 5 kids so I gave them too her. Next thing I know I've got an 8 person household. (3 babies and 1 toddler at the same time was traumatising so I waited to give her the 5th.) as you can imagine the game has been going very slowly as I'm an absolute control freak that has to plan their every action; so I want to move them out to start their own families. (I've been building a crime syndicate fit with medic, businessman, master theif, chef, journalist, emperor of evil and rock star)
Anyway two of my boys have pulled over rich women and I want to kill their families before I move in and steal their wives (Wolff and Goth) I'm keeping the Wolff woman alive and the goth woman is going to die. Anyway the problem is I have: bare books, teleporter, moodlet moodlet manager, like combined 300k lifetime happiness points, bare computers and household items, seeds, etc etc etc.

I'm not bothered about their wishes changing as long as their lifetime wish remains but still I'm not too bothered about that. But the lifetime points, moodlet thing and teleporter and I have a fat shedding thing as well. I want that shizzle.

Basically the goals are: kids move out and I control them as well as keeping my geezah and his wife going, I keep my stuff, I change to the other families so I can widow the wives off before I move in. I must keep my lifetime happiness points. How might I achieve this?

Just a bit more background as I like to share my creation:
My geezah (Ollie): level 10 Criminal (theif)
My bird (Rose) : level 10 chef
My birds sister (Ria): level 10 journalist
My eldest (Bruce): soon to be CEO of mega corp, pulled Cornelia Goth (who will die)
One of my triplets (Ross): soon to be World Renowned surgeon, pulled Morgan Wolff (who will live)
Another triplet (Leah): soon to be Rock star
Last Triplet (Amelia): Fisherwoman/collector and will be a scientist
My youngest (Sophia) will be Emporer of Evil and may infiltrate the Landgraab household later

Make them buy supplementary houses, and allow the game to play an overstuffed household. This way you can theoretically control up to 24 sims, in different houses if you wish but they're all technically part of the same household.

Sadly, Sims 3 is really not set up for playing multiple households. You can do it, but your Sims will lose wishes and relationships whenever you transfer to a different household. Worse, one of your families might be moved out while you're playing someone else.
@Candyd's suggestion is a good one, but for what you're describing (because you  know you're going to want to play the grandkids and their families, too), Sims 2 or Sims 4 is better.
