Hi fellow Sims creators! I have come up with a fun little challenge to get those creative juices flowing, and with the permission of MrsFlynn and Metro, I am sharing it now with you!
If you are like me, you often find yourself struggling to create new and unique rooms in your houses. I get stuck on the same colors and (thus) same furniture for pretty much every house I build. It hit me that maybe a bit of randomness could push me out of my comfort zone as a builder and decorator! Below, you will find three lists: room type, interior theme, and main color. All you have to do it roll some dice (at least a d20) or generate three random numbers (I use Random.org) to get your own personal challenge! For example, I played yesterday and got: blue Shabby-Chic kitchen. This is my final creation.
So it can be really easy or really difficult! Anyone is welcome to play, and I am willing to take suggestions on room types or interior themes to add to the list (I want the colors to be basic, so you have freedom with shades). For the budget category, the goal is to stay within that budget, for example if you roll a 2 you should spend
at least 5,001 simoleons but not more than 10,000 simoleons. Have fun and feel free to share your creations in this thread! I know I will!
(Note: as this is not a competition, Move Objects and CC are both viable options when making your rooms.)
