WA/Store Plants
« on: October 21, 2016, 01:37:53 AM »
Hi I'm trying to find the WA blackberry, blueberry, cocoa, peach tree, and lemon tree plants, but don't know where to look. I tried the Bohemian cart, but can't find them in there regardless of how many carts I buy and I tried the buy debug cheat to get them, but the plants will not plant. I place them on the ground, but they will not plant or grow. I also tried putting them in the indoor pots, but still the same results. Where can I find these plants normally? The weird thing is that I've done this before and had success at it, but it was in another town. The one I'm trying is Riverview.

They're store content only. They don't exist in WA.

The blackberry, blueberry, cocoa, peach, etc are part of the Bohemian Garden set from the store.  It costs about 1,700 SimPoints or thereabouts.  You might look for it on sale as many high SimPoint Sims 3 items have been drastically reduced since Sims 4's release.

The lemon tree and purple eggplant were part of the Al Fresco Street Market from the store.

The WA plants are the Cherry and Pomegranate trees from Egypt, Pomelo and Plum trees from China, and the six wine grapes from France.  Luckily, they can now be bought from the Humble Harvest Stands from the Al Fresco Street Market (store venue).

If you've got the store harvestables installed in your game you can find them at the grocery store in any town. Some harvestables can be found in the fridge also.

If you're unable to plant the harvestables you may want to try to evict the family or reset the town.

Thanks everybody! I may well have to reset the town. I do have the Bohemian Garden and the Al Fresco Street Market otherwise the plants would not show up in buydebug.

Ah okay. I wasn't sure what you meant when you said something about buydebug.

So yeah, it might be a good idea to reset town to see if you're able to plant them regardless of which way you get them. As the harvestables definitely should be plantable when you get them from buydebug.

Well, I've been doing some trouble shooting. I installed the Bohemian Garden in a vanilla game and the seeds worked just fine. I went back to my original game and removed all mods, but the seeds still will not work. So my conclusion is that this copy of the game is corrupted somehow. What I'll do is generate another vanilla game and then transfer over my main families that I play and go from there. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will work.

Edit to Add: I forgot to mention that I had tried doing the reset town an it didn't work either. :(

Doing a factory reset works too. That's what I usually do when my game starts going wonky.

It's easy enough to get back the store stuff I've downloaded, as I saved a copy of my downloads folder just before playing in the new Sims 3 folder I had just created. :)

I'm happy to hear you were able to find something that works for you!!

Exactly what I mean by a "vanilla" game. Renamed the one I've been using and let the game generate a new copy. :) I'm in the process now of getting my store content and worlds installed.
