Treasure Chest won't open

I'm currently in China doing the stealing the warlord's gold quest. I finish and i get into the chamber that holds the chest with the gold. It won't open. Can someone please help? all the other chests open except the one holding the treasure and the one in the adjacent room.

Is that the one called Dong Huo Treasure Trove which you access via the tomb hole in the floor behind the shops?  If so, you can only access the final treasure chest if you're doing the adventure chain and have obtained the keystone from the relics merchant.

The thing is, that I did receive all that. I'm standing in front of the treasure chest but it just won't open, the one adjacent to it won't either. All the others will open. I've tried to move them while testingcheatsenabled true was on but then it says that my sim is using them when he's not doing anything at that moment in time.

Did the keystone fit?  It should have glowed to show that's it's activated and the treasure chest is openable.

Otherwise when did you last save?  If before you inserted the keystone, then go back to the previous save and see if it works now.  I do a lot of saves during adventures for this very reason. 

If all else fails, nix the adventure.  You should be able to pick it up from the board at the point where you finished the Haggling the Final Details part of the adventure chain.  Just make sure that the keystone is still in your inventory.

I will try your solution tomorrow, if that doesn't work nix it and hope that by next time it'll work.
