Origin App and Sims 3 Screens Flickering

Hello,

I recently tried to download some items from the sims 3 store and downloaded the Super Patch to try to fix some issues. After doing this the Origin and the options menu on sims was flickering like the picture attached. The sims themselves were glitching in CAS with weird texture details and becoming weird shapes in gameplay. I uninstalled all of the sims and expansions, uninstalled Origin, deleted any files I could find of both, then reinstalled the Origin App and the problem remains.

Any help would be great! (I'm using a Macbook Pro if that helps at all).

The game has never done this before and I have had it running on this laptop for a long time, so I assume the problem lies from downloading from the store or the patch.

I experienced that problem with different applications, but normally it's graphics card related.

Any suggestions on how to fix it? It's really weird that it's the Origin app as well as Sims, and can't find any solutions online.

Graphics card issues like this on Mac often affect a lot of applications. You may discover that other applications are affected too. It's usually the case.
I'd suggest to look for updated drivers on the Apple website. Be sure that your drivers are up-to-date (you might want to ask Apple about it), or this might be a hardware problem as Inter Iris graphics cards have some compatibility issues with The Sims 3.

I'd have to agree with Candy, try updating the graphics drivers by checking Apple's website and searching for your particular computer.

If you have any problems with it, it may be a good idea to take it to your local apple store to have it looked at to make sure there's nothing wrong with the graphics themselves.
