It's very odd. I'm wondering whether I should contact EA in the hopes that maybe they have heard of similar problems from others. It's not the collection helper, at least, it doesn't feel like it. It still shows me where the rocks and gems are and I'm collecting them no problem. It still shows me where the fish and bugs should be, but once I have zoomed into the locations, there's no evidence of bugs at all, even if I wait for several Sim hours. I went to France and there's a fishing hole which should have loads of butterflies but again, there's none. I can still fish and catch fish, but I no longer have the areas that have a lot of fish, where they jump out of the water. It's definitely the fish and bugs.
Restarting doesn't help and I don't want to have to reinstall. I've done that so much I'm fed up with it. I have taken out all my mods since the installation of LN, because they were no longer compatible with the new game. I only have a select amount of custom content, most of it is only decorative from a trusted source. I'm just wondering maybe it was the lowering of my graphics. Because of the new expansion pack, I have lowered most of my graphics to medium quality, though some, like the Sim detail is high quality. Maybe that's what has caused it. But I've tweaked my graphics and nothing seems to have changed it.
