Weather looking weird on 16:9 resolutions

So, I always play in windowed mode, and I'd like to play in 16:9 but there's an annoying little graphical problem with weather, that happens for all resolutions other than 4:3. Weather effects look distorted, flattened and it's especially visible in 16:9. Here is what snow looks like on 1360 x 728 and 1024 x 768, for comparison (click on thumbnails to enlarge) :



Someone knows a way to fix this ?

It seems to me the rectangle photo looks like it's being stretched, that's why it looks distorted. Where the square photo looks normal.

I'm not sure why that is or how to really fix that. It might (?) be a limitation of what your monitor/video card may be able to handle? I'm honestly not sure. I've never come across and issue like this.

If you haven't, it might be a good idea to update your graphics drivers.

Yes, I noticed the same stretched backgrounds in loading screens.
My graphics drivers are all up-to-date, I use the dedicated NVIDIA ones. I play on high settings (GeForce Experience recommends even playing on highest settings on native resolution (1920 x 1080) but that might be a bit much IMO) and there's almost no lag at all, switching between saves takes a crazy fast 30 seconds to load...
I've noticed that the game is loading more slowly since the last Origin update, but that's all. It looks like Origin sends more data than before so it reduces game performance but I don't think it could have any real influence on graphics in game ? It's a bit frustrating and I wish I didn't install the update, but I can't say that I've noticed much lag other than during loading screens.

No I don't think the new Origin client is the reason for the graphics problems.

I did some more searching on the problem. Again I am not fully sure, as I've never come across this problem before. But might have found something to help with the issue.

I now play on a BootCamp partition (Windows 10). There were too many "exception raised" errors, it was getting out of control so I've given up playing on OS X. It's too unstable.

Okay. Sorry about that. Wasn't sure if you were using the native OS or not.

Oops, sorry, I should have specified about the OS 
It doesn't work so I give up for now. If ever I find something in the future to fix this, I'll post it here. Thank you for your help anyway

I'm really sorry to hear that didn't work for you. I was hoping it would. I even asked Hubby his thoughts and he's stumped too. As he's never come across this issue either.

Have you asked about the problem in some Mac forums? Maybe someone might be familiar with Macs running Bootcamp and how to fix the display.

I hope you're able to find a fix or work around. And yes, please do post back if/when you find a fix.
