Issues with Create a World
« on: September 19, 2016, 01:40:08 AM »
I'm relatively new to the community, so I don't know whether I am posting this in the right area- it seemed to me that asking questions about the custom world builder in the custom content section made sense, though, so here it goes:
I am currently trying to build a world on CAW, and so far it has gone fairly smoothly. I'm not running into any of the catastrophic issues that I kept reading about in the few posts that turned up when I searched it on the forums, but there is one bug that keeps occurring that makes it fairly difficult to know how my work will look in game. Whenever I try to use the function that allows you to view your world in game, it comes up zoomed in much too close, and zooming out at all causes what seems to be a graphical error. It's almost like a thick bank of fog is supposed to be there for whatever reason, but it's more like a solid image rather than anything opaque, and it keeps me from being able to view the world as a whole. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Tl;dr: Weather(?) bugging when I check world in game.

Any help at all would be appreciated! Also, if this is the wrong place for this, just let me know where to go and I'll move my post.

Thanks!

I don't know much about CAW. But like to try to help troubleshoot the problem. Have you tried clearing game cache, maybe try the world file in a fresh Sims 3 folder without mods and custom content, for testing purposes?

That's actually something that was outlined in the tutorial that I followed from modthesims- starting with a clean slate, that is- but this occurred anyway. I also went back and double checked it after you posted, to be sure, and both were clear. It's not a critical issue, thankfully. Just a bit annoying.  :)

Thank you for answering, by the way!
