Sims 4 Create A Sim question
« on: September 05, 2016, 04:38:49 PM »
Hi,

I like making sims in Sims 4, that I then use in my online play by post game as a visual representation of my character/s. I've just realised it would suit my story telling better if a particula character I had represented using the young adult age group as an elder, but I''ve already left Create A Sim, and the sim is now in my library with her kid. Is there a way for me to return them to the Create a Sim section to edit her?

Also, a character I created by himself I've decided is the father of her child. But they are in two different families in my library Is there a way to bring them into the one family so i can play with the genetics?

If you open the cheats console by pressing shift+control+c and then type in testingcheats on followed by cas.fulleditmode on you can then take your sim to a wardrobe or chest of drawers or shift-click them to take them into CAS.

Using this cheat can cause issues. It never has for me and I use it a lot but always better to save before hand.

I'm not in-game right now and I can't quite remember of you can merge from another family in your library... but I think you can when you use the 'add another sim' option and then chose 'library'. But I will double check this and post back.

You definitely can throw both families into a world and then using manage households merge them both into one household and save them as that new household back into your library.

Thank you @Playalot for your assistance.

I decided to try the merging of families together to see if I could get that to work for me.

I'm pleased to say it did, as did remaking the child with the genetics feature:
