Cure for round spots and stuffed-up

One of my playable Sims in my main household just got sick.  This is my first dealing with illness in TS4.  He has round spots on his face and hand and stuffed-up uncomfortable 2 moodlet.  I had him take the day off from work and take some of that medicine from the brown bottle that you get from buying medicine on the computer.  I will be sure he gets enough rest and drink lots of orange juice, too.

Update:  He just took one dose of medicine, and his spots disappeared.  How many does of medicine should he take?

Is there anything else that I can or should do for him.  Thanks a lot.

I think that's it - I always keep a bottle of panacea in the inventory. Could just be me but it seems like the more people live a house, the higher the frequency of illnesses.

Can playable Sims go to the hospital if they have something serious --- especially if it requires surgery?
