Question: Can only one Sim have 1 gizmo? I.E. Moodlet, Collector Finder

I was working with the challenges, and saving enough challenge points.  I have the moodlet manager already on one Sim already and I went to try to use the Collector Helper, but I can't seem to make my sim use it.  Any thoughts on why it won't let me use it?

When you click on the collectors helper, do you get any choices as what to do or can't you click on it at all?  I have never had that happen, usually it gives you a choice of what particular item you want to look for.

I can't seem to click on it at all, only time I've been able to click on it, was when I was in build mode and I purchased it and placed it on the ground.  So I don't know what to do to be able to use it.  So that's why I thought maybe the console version only lets one Sim have one gizmo like Collector helper or the Moodlet Manager.

Also, thanks for welcoming me to the forum. This site/forum has helped me alot with the console version even though it was covering the PC version. So that's why I joined this thing.

I haven't bought any "gizmo's" but I can't click the collection helper anyway. I presume it's a glitch with it.

So if it's a glitch and I've tried to restart my game and everything how would we fix it?  Report it to EA?

Since I wouldn't say it's a glitch with your game but rather the collection helper restarting your game would have no effect. I have zero experience with reporting glitches so I've no idea.

I too had the exact same problem in my game and I found that I had to go into build mode, buy the collection helper, then place it in the family inventory before switching it over to my sim's personal inventory. Afterward I just accessed it from the inventory menus and it worked fine.

btw I have the xbox version of the game.

How do you put it in your family inventory before exiting the buy mode? I don't recall/ remember how to do that.

Just to let you know I have the Xbox Version so buttons may be different.  What I did was buy the collection helper and place it somewhere on the lot. Then I pressed 'Y' and the menu at the top right dropped down giving me options to Move, Sledgehammer, Clone, Create-a-Style and Storage.  Pick Storage and select the Collection Helper It should have then been taken to the Family Inventory.

After that, press X and access the menu for Buy, Build and Family Inventory. Chose Family Inventory. It should be the third option. Find the Collection Helper and at the bottom it should tell you things like Y=Sell, A=Select, X=Move. Press X and it should appear in you personal inventory when you get back to live mode.
