Lost Vacation Home
« on: November 28, 2010, 08:22:28 PM »
My largest sim game has a new problem, and I don't know how to fix it. They had bought a home in China previously, a long time ago. When I sent them to China today they got a message right away: "some objects could not be loaded and were replaced". They were placed at Base Camp without any option to stay in their home. There is a purple icon over their home in town mode, but the only option is greyed out "ring bell". Their travel log shows that they own a home in ChinaI had done a save just before leaving Barnacle Bay, so I closed the game without saving and started it again from the last save. Same result.

They have the option to buy the house, and also the option to sell the house. I don't want to lose all the items and improvements on the lot, so I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Check on the cell phone and see if you have the option to Move.  If so, you might be able to move back into the house.

That worked, Pam. I had, in fact, looked at Move options, but since it showed my house with a price next to it, I thought I'd have to buy it again as an unimproved house. Despite showing the price, I wasn't charged for it and all is as it should be.

Thank you!
