A rather annoying wish is that for a hot tub when they live in a penthouse! If you try to place one it tells you that the landlord doesn't allow it,  well what was the point of generating that wish then? This game cracks me up sometimes. ::)

You can put hot tubs in penthouses with the restrictbuildbuyinbuildings false (or was it restrictbuybuildinbuildings false? I don't know) cheat. Either way, lots of people get some bugged hot tub wishes, such as people who don't even have Late Night at all.

If your game is updated, you probably get that wish, despite no Late Night, because the game updates have a feature or game mechanics of the latest expansion or object pack in it. One example I can think of is when the update came out right after Fast Lane, which included the 'Vehicle Enthusiast' trait and the car relationship and naming game mechanic.

As for the pregnancy and hot tub debate, I believe it has something to do with public (and sometimes private) hot tubs having bacteria growing in them. One reason I know about the bacteria is that my step mother actually got some form of rash from her 2 year old nephew, while on a camping trip. Almost everyone else got the same rash. It could also do with the jets, the slippery surface of hot tubs providing a hazard for pregnant women, and boiling temperatures not being good for the baby. I don't know, and as mentioned, I do not want to google anything with the phrases 'hot tub' and 'pregnant' in it.

I got a wish from my super star actress sim to live in a penthouse, and her boyfriend had the same thing. I was incredibly mad, because I'd rather them live in a ground floor house than a apartment...ESPECIALLY when they need to grow plasma fruits. :(

@ Simstar and others: Well, I googled pregnancy and hot tubs because I wanted my facts right about why pregnant ladies should not use a hot tub. EA does research on things like this, I hope.

Raising your core body temp above 102F (hot tubs usually run at 104F) can lead to birth defects in the fetus during early pregnancy. Heat causes your blood vessels to open, or dilate, which lowers blood pressure and heart rate increases to compensate. This then leads to feeling faint and fainting, not so good when you're sitting in water. A decrease in blood pressure means less blood is moving across the placenta to and from the fetus. So, heat + decrease blood pressure = stress for the fetus. Fetuses aren't designed to handle much stress.

Thought I'd share that.

When generation 8 in the Clan Douglas Dynasty was still a child, the other family members kept getting wishes to jam with him - which didn't make a lot of sense, as children for some reason can't play musical instruments.
Me too, I was playing the Hemlock's in Bridgeport, and some one got a wish "Jam with Belisama Hemlock even though she (Belisama) was a toddler.

I don't know if this was said or not but when I had a band, I got one of the funniest wishes. Tammy Tay (My "paparazzi eater" and keyboardist) saw a vampire during one of her travel across Bridgeport. It was unfortunate that I didn't take a picture of the wish myself. The Sims traits were Mean-Spirited, Evil, Hot-Headed and the last two traits I have forgotten. The Sim, I'm not kidding, was to get in a fight with a vampire. Apparently vampires are the most "Athletic beings in Existence", so my Sims wants to test her strength. Personally I’ve never gone through with the trait, much less the Sim band but that was the funniest wish I have ever gotten.

Wow that's cool I've never had that wish before.

I got one where my 92 year old grandma wanted to flirt with her daughter's boyfriend. Creepy much??

Yeah, she actually automatically began to flirt with him. He didn't like it..But then he tried to flirt back later! And then she didn't like it. It was a crazy set up.
