World Adventures problem

In the last couple of weeks I've run across two big problems.

In Simhara, the people that live in the Library house are never home. The only time I've seen them near their home first thing when I arrive in Simhara, but as soon as they leave for work, my Sim gets teleported off the lot. Inappropriate in a Good Way doesn't fix this.

In Shang Sim-la, Pangu's Axe is missing from the wall. I have to use Buy-Debug to get the axe.

Have you tried a factory reset? Any time my game starts acting odd like that I try a factory reset and/or a new game.
