Towns/Neighborhoods are missing /Expansions disappear *Fixed!!*

I have searched on Google and through here but I can't seem to find the help I need, or I completely missed it. I did do some things I found on this site, but it still didn't help.

First I noticed that sometimes my expansions packs show up in the launcher then, sometimes, they don't. It seems to be random and I don't know why it's happening. I am also having an issue with the neighborhoods, most of which are associated with the expansion packs themselves plus Riverview...they are not showing up in the drop-down menu to choose one. Only Sunset Valley and Riverview show up there, not any of the others I should have. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game, plus the expansion packs in order,but it's still happening. I would update it, but it's already up to date. I downloaded them off Origin, so I have absolutely no idea what's wrong.

If anyone has had this problem and knows of a way to fix this, please, let me know? Thank you.

This sounds like a familiar problem. = Expansions disappear from the launcher. If a reinstall didn't help. It's best to contact EA's Customer Service, as there maybe a setting they need to tweak with your account on their end.

I've only had this problem with the regular expansion worlds once, however, I can't for the life of me get the launcher to hold onto downloadable worlds from the shop; as soon as the launcher closes, it removes the installed worlds. They remain in their respective folder though. It's a shame since I went ahead and purchased quite a few before I knew I wouldn't be able to play them

I've heard of the problem that the launcher doesn't keep store stuff installed. I'm not quite sure how to fix it though.

As last time we downloaded our store content we installed it into a fresh Sims 3 folder a little at a time. Making sure everything gets installed as we went along. Then backed it up for safe keeping. And use a copy of that folder when we want to use Store content.

if that doesn't work for you, it may be best to contact EA's Customer Service to make sure there isn't anything wrong with your account on their end.

I did note, however, while I was browsing at it that all the downloaded files for my Sims 3 game are in a file titled Origin Games, not EA or Electronic Arts. Is there a chance this is the problem? On my old laptop, they were in an EA/Electronic Arts folder.

You may still want to contact EA's Customer Service, as the problem you're having may be different then Nindigo's = Store items missing.

You mentioned your issue is that expansions are missing in the launcher or it will sometimes uncheck them. This can be fixed by having EA's customer service check your account on their end. Just to make sure things are going okay.

Creating a fresh Sims 3 folder and installing store content to it won't fix the missing expansions in the launcher problem.

MrsFlynn, I wanted to report back regarding my problem with store-bought worlds. Following your hubby's steps made all the difference. Apparently, my game doesn't generate a particular folder which his instructions tells you to create. How cool - now, I have a bunch of new worlds to play. Oy, I'll be so busy exploring
