The no-invite rule leads to a lot of rather strange conversations around the mail box each day but quite often the sims will just wander into the house and make themselves at home which is brilliant and I hope continues.
Conor: Who the heck is your watcher talking to Joe? She sounds nuts.
Zesty: I'd say unique.
Joe: Special maybe.
Zesty: Yeah...lol, that too.
Woah! Temper Conor! You need to work on being a good loser.Joe: Do you even play Conor. Lol.
Connor: Argh... !!
Didn't feel like playing Zesty?Zest: Na, I've played with Conor before, it gets colorful, to say the least.
Heh. Well it's nice to see you anyway. How you been keeping?Zest: Oh same old, same old. You know, work keeps me busy.
What is it you do again?Zest: Entertainer, where Dominic works.
Oh right, that's how you two know each other.Zest: Yep.
Nice. Well, don't be a stranger Zesty. We'll have to get a wardrobe as soon as we can so we can give you a make-over.Zest: Why does that feel like a thing? Weird... had a real déjà vu moment there.
Luckily Moira has stopped running away too and usually makes it into the house.
Joe: Seriously watcher, you sound like you're making a documentary. Who are you talking to?
No-one.Joe: It's freaking me out.
Well, I hate to break up all the cuteness in this room but we really need to go fishing.Moira: It's time I went anyway hun.
*Kissing sounds*
Joe: We really need some more rooms watcher.
Actually, I can do that 'cos it's building day today! Whoop! Well, after you've come home from work that is Joe.Joe: Rats, I'd forgotten I have work today.
Oo a trout! Nice.Dominic: Well, that pretty much guarantees us dinner tonight that is fresh.
Yep. Good one.
Joe: Nailed it watcher!
Grats! I'm surprised you got that promotion actually.Joe: It's my skills watcher.
Bjorn: Congrats Joe!
Joe: Thanks.
Joaquin: I see your watcher has finally bought you some new furniture.
Joe: Yep, and added another floor.
Dominic: How many is that now?
Umm... 12. Heaps enough for the week and then some. Dominic: K, I think I'll keep fishing for a bit longer. You should go see if Joe is ready to help. He really should learn how to fish.
Good point. K, I'll go see what he is up to.Dominic: By the way, what is the name of this fish?
Chiliad.Dominic: lol, like the great Mount Chiliad mystery?
Illuminati confirmed.Dominic: lol
Hey Joe, what are you.... Oh!Joe: Hmm?
You just maxed out your painting skill! Way to go!Joe: Thanks, told you I had skillz.
Joe: I don't seem to be catching anything.
Takes time.Joe: I'm bored.
Yeah, we know. Were you going to slip that into your pocket without letting me know?Dominic: Yep.
How coy of you!Dominic: That was a very bad pun. *Groan*
And so the night slips away as we leave our two intrepid heros cheating at cards.
Joe: I am not cheating... and anyway, who are you talking to?
Dominic: Good point though, it is late. I think I'll turn in.
Nite boys. The next morning brings the first mail.
Oh no you don't... Just stop right there mail lady.Mail Lady: You don't frighten me watcher.
Mail Lady: In we go little bills, all safe and soundly delivered.
*Sigh* It would have been nicer of you to have lost them or something.Mail Lady: Worth more than my job is worth watcher. I've got three hungry kids at home to feed.
Bet you don't.Mail Lady: How rude.
Dominic: Oh, so your a kleptomaniac. How interesting.
*
Thank goodness we can't invite him in.*
Poor Dominic basically chews the gardeners ear off in a brave attempt to skill up charisma. Still, the Gardener seems a good sort and stands there for some hours listening, occasionally getting a word in.
Dominic: Blah blah blahdiblaa blah blah
Gardener: Hm hmm *nods*
Hows the logic skillz going?Joe: Good, still not quite sure why I am learning this.
It'll come in handy later.Joe: *shrug* K, it's pretty fun anyway.
So this ends the first week pretty much. Dominic looks on track to max his career in week 2 and Joe might scrape in there as well although I have been focussing mainly on Dominic seeing as he is already an adult. The bills came to $2898 probably due to all of Joe's paintings everywhere but I had managed to spend all except for $304 dollars so I'm pretty pleased with that.
This is the neighborhood that Joe lives in. I have been decorating the other houses to 'match' and I have built or altered them with the challenge rules in mind. As restrictions are lifted I will give them a 'make-over' so that the entire neighborhood stays in 'theme' with the challenge. Not strictly in the rules, but I love building so it keeps me busy planning out what I am going to do next while watching Joe and Dominic skill up!
And finally, the challenge house looking quite strange now as I had enough money to add the top floor. There is nothing up there yet apart from walls and doors etc but eventually that will become the master bedroom and bath and another bedroom, probably for a child.
