@Nutella
Please tell the truth, Nutella. Do you live on Need Fixers or do you actually sleep like the rest of us?
Just kidding, of course. Amazing score! (as usual)

Hi, could I get a bit of clarification on the following portion of the rules please?

Selling items purchased to level up handiness is not allowed.

I'm a little confused because I wasn't aware that selling purchased items can level up a Sim's handiness skill. Or maybe I'm just reading it wrong?

Does this mean we're not allowed to sell anything at all back in buy mode once we've purchased it? Or is it only certain items we've purchased that "level up handiness" that we're not allowed to sell back?

It means that if you buy something to upgrade to level your handiness, you cannot sell that item.  Nothing you buy can be sold back because that is interpreted by the team as income.

I know this because I asked before so I can answer the question.

This one is correct.  Nothing at all can be sold back once you buy it in buy mode.

We have plenty of challenges that are income based in the past and we always have the same rule.  It is not interpreted different this time, we just clarify it more in the rules because some new players seems to get confused by it.

Selling anything you bought adds $$$ to your household funds, thus it is adding income.

Thank you for further clarification, Nutella.  Though I didn't specify this challenge and didn't state that I thought it was different.  I was just stating the sentence in a way that I hoped would ease confusion in the future.  We both said the same thing.  Selling previously bought items is considered income by the team and therefore against the rules for a challenge where income is restricted.

@StephieSims Glad I could help.  Was trying to give you an answer quickly so you could get on with the challenge.
