Sims 3: Outdoor Living Stuff
« on: November 27, 2010, 03:40:09 AM »
I was reading online today and came across quite a few posts on different forums about the new stuff pack.  I went to amazon.com, did a search, and ta-da!  It was there!  There is no picture art yet.  It has a release day of February 1, 2011.  There is the option of pre-ordering it.  There is no formal announcement yet from EA but with it being on Amazon it does make me a little giddy thinking that it is a true possibility.  Anyone else see anything about it?  This is what the description on Amazon says about it:

Product Description
For the first time ever, your Sims can get the best in outdoor luxury for their homes. Whether they're decorating the perfect patio, setting the mood with a new hot tub, or firing up a state-of-the-art grill for the ultimate BBQ, your Sims' outdoor decor is getting a boost.

Product Features
Build the perfect al fresco setting for your Sims with stylish furnishings, outdoor electronics, and cozy fire pits and fireplaces.
Give your Sims several uniquely styled hot tubs where they can relax with friends or get romantic with someone special.
Turn up the heat with an all-new built-in countertop grill as part of your Sims' outdoor kitchen and take their cooking to a whole new level.
Choose from two new styles. ?Garden Terrace? features elegant wrought-iron pieces, while ?Sunset on the Veranda? embraces the warmth of outdoors.
Dress your Sims in an array of chic but casual attire for a great day in the sun or a relaxing evening under the stars.

When I did a general search of the Sims 3, I did not find it.  But when I specifically searched for Sims 3: Outdoor Living Stuff, I was able to find it.

EDIT:  Here is the link for the SP on Amazon's site: http://www.amazon.com/Sims-3-Outdoor-Living-Stuff-Mac/dp/B004DU0XHI

I thought I already posted all this but now I can't find my Topic anywhere...  ??? Was something wrong with my topic that it had to be deleted? I searched for it but it didn't come up?

Maybe this one came first so they didn't want 2 articles about the same thing?

Hmn, as long as this don't give much content I won't check it. Sadly the previous two expansions have been a letdown.
HEL stuff - while the appliances are cool, it doesn't give much. The Aquarium is the best addition in this SP, but with Late Night it became somehow obsolete.
FL stuff - Most cars are awesome. What I'm mostly disappointed about is the Vehicle Enthusiast trait. It doesn't give much and it doesn't have even its own animation in CAS.

I'm disappointed with the stuff packs. While they only cost $20, might as well save that for the next EP. Me's poor. D=

New stuffpack announced! The Sims 3 Outdoors
    « Reply #8 on: December 10, 2010, 11:32:50 AM »
Today, I saw on the Dutch version of www.desims3.nl that there is a new stuffpack announced. The Pack is called: 'De Sims 3 Buitenleven', which means something like 'Outdoors'.
Anyway, I do not know if this is already on here, but I will be kind enouth to translate a few things I've read about it for all of you:

Your Sims can for the first time buy the finest outdoor gear in your home. Whether they want to pimp up the porch, in the mood to connect with a new hot tub or want to give the ultimate garden party, your Sims can express their creativity with the latest outdoor gear. Give your Sims everything they need to make the outdoor fun, with The Sims 3 Outdoors!

    Features
    • Create a beautiful garden room for your Sims, complete with fine furniture and electronics for outdoor fire pits and cozy fireplaces.
    • Give your Sims several uniquely shaped hot tubs, where they can relax with friends, or romantic bath with a lover.
    • Make your extra hot summer nights with a new barbecue that you can place on the counter, making it ideal for outdoor kitchens.
    • Choose from two new styles. The collection "Garden Terrace" contains elegant wrought iron furniture, while with "Sunset on the Veranda" you can create that warm country feel.
    • Dress your Sims in style and comfort, so that their days in the sun or under the stars can spend.

That's all I know for now people. Let's spread some info if you got some. ;)

Yes I know; the text is Dutch to. But it contains nothing more than I already noted here above.
