Chapter One: Annette Gets Started

Chapter One: Annette Gets Started

NB: Since I didn't originally plan to do a story, I don't have pictures of my actual game until the heir is born. So I started a fake new game so that I could recap what Annette had been up to. All of the pictures in this chapter come from that file, not my real game.

Annette had been in the Sim Bin for a while, and she was bored. As an over-emotional perfectionist, I'm sure you can imagine how difficult that was for her. So when the chance came to move to Dragon Valley and start her own dynasty, she was more than ready.

She got herself the essentials and headed out on the town.

And by "the town," I mean the community garden, where she would spend quite a good bit of time.

When she wasn't fishing.

Or snorkeling.

She joined the Science career and met Connor O'Reilly, who soon became both a vampire and her best friend. She met plenty of other men around town, too, but they were either ordinary humans or married, and that wouldn't do at all. Finally, when visiting Susie Sackholme, she came across Mason, who was cute, single, and best of all, a witch. It didn't take her long to hook him in.

(This didn't go quite so fast in my real game file. In fact, it took Annette so long to marry Mason that he was 3 days from turning elder when she finally got around to it. Luckily, he decided to get a tattoo or two as she ground through her requirements. That Commercial Fisherman challenge takes forever!)

Finally, with her requirements complete, Annette gulped down an Age Freeze potion and moved on to her most important task of all: bringing in the next generation.

Nice beginning!  Annette is a cutie!
Don't feel silly for creating an additional file for "staged shots."  I think most of us have done that at some point.
And look, more Sackholme genetics hitting this board  ;=)
Looking forward to reading more!

Chapter Two: Rainboos!

Chapter Two: Rainboos!

I got both Annette and Mason Fertility Treatment, because I'm a sucker for the nooboos, and it certainly paid off. Meet Benjamin...

Brayden...

And Bethany.

Benjamin rolled Eccentric and Disciplined, Brayden rolled Brave and Friendly, and Bethany rolled Genius and Artistic. Wow, thanks, Sims!

Also, there may have been a small amount of squee involved when Bethany turned out to be pink. (Eeeee!)

The babies got a lot of love and attention from their parents.

Here's Bethany's butterfly crib (her favorite color is hot pink, which will be interesting with that skin tone, lol):

Brayden's, who likes white:

And I can't find a picture of Benjamin's crib, but his is aqua with rubber ducks.

All too soon, it was time to age up. The birthday sparkles swarmed Benjamin first.

Oh dear, let's fix that.

Much better. Look at this cutie! He has his daddy's ears!

Brayden's turn:

Well, at least he got hair.

I'm not sure where any of his genetics come from, but he is definitely adorable.

And lastly, Bethany:

Oh dear.

No elf ears, but she certainly does have a jaw! (Also, eeeee, she's pink!)

Oh, and did I forget to mention? All THREE of the nooboos are witches. That means they're all eligible to be the heir. Thanks, Sims!

Wow, I said I was looking forward to reading more and was instantly rewarded  :=)
Nice luck that all three turned out as witchboos!  Am I correct in thinking you're leaning towards Bethany as the heir, or are you just leaving it up in the air for now?

Lol, you're welcome! I'm bored at work, so....

Well, Bethany IS pink (eeee!). But then, Benjamin's green, and he seems to just keep getting more adorable as he grows up (he's currently a child in my game). It's between the two of them, really. (Sorry, Brayden; you're cute, but you had the bad luck of getting a normal skin tone.)

Good start! I also prefer a rainboo as hair, so sorry Brayden. You were lucky to get three witches in the firts attempt, in my games generally witches genes are recessive.

We'll see, lol. Maybe as a YA it'll suit her.

I know, I was shocked! Actually, I was a little disappointed, because I do so love the fairy toddlers. And Annette's my only chance to get any in this game, so... you'll never guess what she and Mason have been up to.... ;)

Wow, those are amazing traits. Where are the Insane Virtuosos?

I know! I couldn't believe it!

Thank you all for your kind responses! I've been a lurker here for a while so it's nice to be posting my own story. Even if it is mostly just me squeeing over the rainboos.

Chapter Three: Skilling Circus

Chapter Three: Skilling Circus

Now toddlers, our witchboos have a lot to learn. Let the skilling circus begin!

Bethany, our little Genius, quickly takes the lead on the peg box.

Benjamin is slightly befuddled.

But with a little help from Annette, he figures it out.

Although Brayden most likely won't be the heir, he joins in from time to time to keep his siblings company. (And also to keep him eligible, just in case some unforeseen disaster occurs with the other two.)

Bethany, honey, that's not the kind of drumstick you eat.

When not learning to talk,

potty,

or walk (although, with their absentminded klutz of a father teaching them, we'll see how well they actually do there),

the triplets spend lots of time with their imaginary friends.

When they're not being cuddled by their parents, of course.

Or attacked by them.

And sometimes they find the time to play together, too.

Look at that poor turtle. He looks so uncomfortable. It's like he knows Brayden is going to put that block right back after trying to shove it up his nose.

Finally, with all three toddlers at level three of the peg box and xylophone, best friends with both parents, and having learned how to talk, potty, and walk (except for Bethany, who took to hiding instead),

it was time for another triple birthday.

After Annette stopped mourning her plants.

Not that I ever pick favorites (except for all the time), but I'm on team Bethany.  The shot of her hiding in the toy box just pushed it over the top for me.
