Sims 4 Quits Itself
« on: June 10, 2016, 03:01:57 PM »
Here is my laptop specs
Processor : Intel core i3 5005U 2.0GHz
GPU : Nvidia Geforce 920M 2GB
RAM : 4GB DDR3
OS : Windows 10

I installed the sims 4 base game, get to work, get together, outdoor retreat add-on, spa day add-on, and 4 stuff packs). When i started to create a sim (even in low quality graphic), the music goes in and out and sometimes tasks go on slowly. Then suddenly, the game quit itself. If anyone knows how to fix this, please help me out. Thank you

Sorry for the bad english. Not my first language

The reason for the game quitting is because the processor isn't made for gaming. Also an i3 isn't really recommended either. The game recommends an i5 or i7 processor to have the best overall gaming experience.

These types of laptops with U processors aren't designed to play games. They're more made for office/homework, watching videos listening to music and other light tasks. Not so much for gaming.

Without getting too technical, they make the U (Ultra-low-voltage or UVL) processors to save energy/electricity to help save battery life. But they do this at the expense of the processing power games need. So it makes for a not so good gaming experience.

The Sims 4 game is very efficient however it is very demanding of system resources and requires more of a gaming laptop or desktop for better gaming experience.

You might try uninstalling the whole game, and reinstall just base game to see if that helps.

Please be aware the more content you add on a computer that can't really handle the game, the more problems you will run into.

Also, you could try these troubleshooting tips in the link below

I can't promise the tips will help game performance, but it's worth giving them a try.

I simply fixed it by updating my graphic card, then the game running smooth in medium-high settings. Thank you for your response
