Premade Restaurants

A quick note to say that the MaxisCreator_01 uploaded a new version of Shimuzu just now (it has a 06/10/16 date).
I just deleted the first version (dated 06/08/16) from MyLibrary and replaced the restaurant in my game.

I haven't started running my own restaurant yet so I can't tell if the initial problems with Shimuzu have been resolved, but just giving a heads-up for those who have been trying to manage this restaurant.

Hi oshizu. I think the problem with the Shimuzu lot was the clutter around the "I Dream of Sous" Chef Station, and the fact that all the build items (hosts stations, waiter stations and chef stations) must be set to grid and not placed with MOO or the alt key. In Shimuzu the aquarium needs bringing forward 1/4 or 1/2 a grid placement so that it locks to grid also.

So with the clutter; around the I Dream of Sous" Chef Station there can not be anything on the walls (paintings, wall shelves or deco items) as this stops the food being placed on the 'pick up shelf' where the waiters grab the food from.

Now I'll know what to look for when I next encounter issues with a premade restaurant!

What do you mean by the Alt key? I've never used MOO--is the Alt key the shortcut for using MOO?

I've play-tested the new Shimuzu version then made my own Japanese restaurant with similar, but exactly the same, dimensions.
Thank you so much for heads-up about keeping the area around the Chef Stations clear!

Holding the alt key down when you are holding a build/buy item in build mode allows you to play the item anyway as opposed to placing it on the 1/4, 1/2 or full grid lock. (The alt key is the key inbetween the windows key and the space bar.)

MOO = ' bb.moveobjects on'  cheat. It allows all sorts of crazy placement and merging of items.
