My sim's face change to a light green color *Fixed!!*
« on: June 01, 2016, 05:13:07 PM »
For some reason one of my Sims has a green face now and they previously had a normal face. I didn't even restart the game so it shouldn't have been any corrupted files. I've already reset my sim. It didn't help at all. Please help!  :-\

*Fixed*

It was a problem with a conflicting/bad custom content - eyebrows

This looks like it maybe due to bad custom content. What maybe helpful to try is play the game without the cc and then see if the face turns back to her normal skin tone.

I even set it to a default skin, and it still had the green  :-\

Try this,

Play the game without CC. Just to test.

Launch Sims 3 using the launcher. Under the Installed Content tab, checkmark Run without Custom Content.

Then play the game as normal to see if her face turns back to her normal skin tone. If it does that means there's some bad CC.

I'm not sure what exactly, as I don't use much CC in my game. That's why I posted the links above to read over. As they'll help you weed out the bad CC.

Setting the skin back to default may not help as you still have whatever CC installed that is causing the problem. This is why I'm suggesting to test without CC.

It only appears to happen on her, even a randomized female doesn't have the green.

Okay. It's been suggested to check to see if your graphics drivers need to be updated. But if you've tried that, or the drivers are current try clearing the game cache.

Hmm.. That's strange. Would you mind uploading her here to your thread so I can have a peeksee in game?

Just in case you're not sure how to Save a Household and upload to the forum.

After you have him saved and want to upload the file.

1. Come back to this thread and click reply. Find the word Attach. (Below the message box)
2. Navigate to where the file was saved to attach the file. - Look in the Exports folder of your Sims 3 folder
-- C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Exports
3. When finished, Click Post.

I will export them tomorrow when I'm free. I also cleared out my CAS part and Sim Compositor caches.  ;)

@TonyTajiri @MrsFlynn: I took a look at the Sims3Pack and there was nothing unusual inside it, like traveling CC. Just the household and the thumbnail.

@TonyTajiri  @Trip

I'm having a hard time getting the file to stay installed. I searched on that problem and found that could mean that there might be corrupted custom skin. Best to install in a new Sims 3 folder.

So I did that, but still won't stay installed. Shows up as installed via the launcher, but isn't showing as installed in-game.

If you've done any testing, does this happen to either of you as well?

The same skin appears to work on other sims, both male, and female.  It appears that the sim I used as a base and the sim having the problem are the only ones with problems.  By the way, the skin was fine and became green during gameplay.  I've tried to reset her, change her skin, run without CC, and checked to see if some makeup was glitching out and it was only the two.  I've attached the .sim file if the sims3pack doesn't work.
