The Saurus ID - Graveyard Please

cornelia @ goth.fam.sv

My Dear Sister,

I've done it again. I've signed my life away in this reality to another founder. I met himyesterday morning on my front lawn. He was dressed in llama fur and her carried a bone knife. His hair resembled VJ's hair, even if it was coloured differently. He said his name is Steggy. I wanted to get to know him better for some reason, this time I'm a Capricorn and he is as well.

Anyway we became best friends, and to celebrate we drove in my car to the bistro. They do a brilliant lobster thermidor and I'm sure that Mortimer would love their baked angel cake food. Following the meal, I agreed to move in with him, and I drove there. Arriving there, I sold my car and convinced the watcher to let me control the purchases and the house. I mean, if I'm going to be part of this, I want to do it right. Of course, it meant that my life was spent lying in these things.

While sometimes this happened to me:

I've also been learning photography, using the hikon camera I bought from Landgraab's Swap 'n' Sell and the multitab:

Steggo and I practiced sculpting in ice, after we both learnt enough of the skill through those brain enhancement machines.

I painted and photographed Steggo for the museum and after 25 attempts finally learned how to sculpt in ice that doesn't melt:

Soon after we began, Steggo invited me out for a 'chat'. You can see our house before the upper floors were added, but after we started to plan for the future:

Steggo became a descendant of Da Vinci by Wednesday of week one, so he got us a motive mobile, made himself an artisan crafter and ensured the house was fireproof.

He confessed his love to me in Central Park.

And yes, if you hear rumours about it from Claire Ursine they are all correct.

But she didn't get the juiciest parts of it as she slept on the park bench:

I am engaged to become Mrs Agnes Saurus.

I must head back to the brain enhancement machines to complete my own lifetime wish, to complete cooking skill and to learn gardening and fishing.

Agnes

Wow, how many brain enhancement machines did they buy? Those are expensive. I take it that you don't have IF installed due to opportunity problems. Too bad, it's nice to keep one of those quickie cleanse machines close by.

@KRae ten of the version one machines and one of the version two machines. Agnes was sent to the version 2 machine to change traits (mainly to get savvy sculptor) and then 5 of the version ones to up her sculpting skill to level 5 for ice sculptures. Agnes went in to start sculpting ice. Steggy was sent to the other 5 brain enhancement machines to up his sculpting skill. He went in to start sculpting ice. Once both got a wish to join sculpting career, they did so and I had them accept all sculpting wishes possible. Agnes quickly got steel bladder, and kept on sculpting.

I kept an eye on the machines for their cool down to end, and then Steggy used and abused them to get to level 10 in inventing and painting. I find that by the time he gets to about the third last machine, the first couple have finished their cool down. He got fried a few times, but by Wednesday of week 1 he was a descendant of Da Vinci and provided a motive mobile to further help Agnes to sculpt without interruption.

Dearest Cornelia,

I've just had contact from a Belinda Crumplebottom of Moonlight Falls. She and her sisters were wanting information on our ancestors to find out how they are linked to us. All three of them are witches, and I know you are a witch as well, so I suppose it is possible we are somehow related to them.

Things have been a blur at home, the last nine-ten months seem to have flown. The last thing I remember telling you was that Steggy asked me to marry him and I said yes. We opted for a private wedding at the Central Park almost in the exact same position as our engagement weeks before.

As I had now become Mrs Saurus, I changed out of the basic black and into something a bit more comfortable.

I returned to the sculpting,

Went fishing for angel fish,

Started a garden,

and had my birthday. Thanks for the birthday card.

Steggy and I wanted a child and tried for one.

I kept on running to the bathroom in the morning to be sick, and so I thought we must have been successful.

I changed into traditional maternity clothes

Met the Langeraks at the spa on one of my many trips there.

I still gardened despite the pregnancy,

Until one day I stretched up one time too many,

And I knew the nooboo was on its way.

Steggy continued to sculpt, blissfully unaware that he was becoming a daddy.

Welcome to the family Maia Saurus.

Thank you Tiamet and LivvieLove.
Maia was given the trait disciplined by the game and I gave her artistic. I think I know what I'm doing with her. She is three days away from childhood. She is cute as a toddler, as you will soon see. :)
Steggo has the traits savvy sculptor, artistic, bookworm, nurturing and born salesman. He has supermaxed sculpting skill, maxed sculpting career and has completed 1 of his 6 black ops, he is currently one day off adult.

To think, Mortimer is almost graduated from high school. I still remember him heading off to primary school for the first time! You and Gunthor must be so proud of him.

My darling little nooboo, Maia, has already grown so much. Seems like it was 3 days ago when I gave birth to her, but now I find myself taking her to her first birthday cake.

When you look at her ears and hair, there is no doubting who her daddy is!

Due to my duties, I knew that I'd need help with the house and with Maia.

Steggy helped out with the rubbish.

And then went next door to get some other help.

Holly was welcomed into the household and immediately hit the brain enhancement machines for a personality change.

And then sculpted,

And taught Maia to walk.

I taught Maia to talk,

and to potty.

Steggy posed for his young adult museum items, and also displayed his skill certificates, graduation certificate and sculptor medal.

I did enjoy spending time with Maia

After a long session of playing and watching octollamas on the tv, Maia fell asleep through the wall.

Watched over by the family's unpaid babysitter, Fangelina.

Until next time,

Agnes

I love how this is just a bunch of letters to dear Cornelia. I love getting to see Agnes's take on the Immortal Dynasty.
Also, welcome Holly to the Saurus family!

Things never seem to slow down in I.D. family. I love the Saurus name though. Maia is going to be so cute! She looks a little like Aggie already.

I like the fact that Agnes is the one who tells the story, after having been in so many dynasties she is the expert.

Thank you LivieLove and CaresIn, I appreciate your comments.

Saurus, inspired by my nephew, who is right into dinosaurs at the moment, having been taught a dinosaur song by his nanna

"Listen to the chorus of the stegosaurus, and the brontosaurus, down by the swamp, down by the swamp," is the start of it.

I thought 'Saurus' - cool surname for a sims 3 family. So I then went to look up dinosaur names that ended with saurus, and selected some of them, and the meanings behind them.

Stego - roof and Saurus - lizard - due to the bony plates above its head and down its back.

Maia - good/caring mother and Saurus - lizard - evidence that these dinosaurs cared for their young (from fossil evidence, presumably)

Besides, I like dinosaurs myself :)

Father/Daughter Time

Dek - Within the Saurus household, Both Agnes and Holly had spent time teaching Maia toddler skills. of walking, talking and pottying.

Dek - Stego (Agnes tells me that 'Steggy' is her pet name for him, and that I'm not to use it) spent his time completing his sculpting supermax skill and his sculpting career and didn't get enough time with his daughter and heir.

Stego - She is my daughter, and while spending time working on career and skill progress is important, spending time with her as a toddler and nooboo is even more important, as these following pictures will show.

Stego - In this picture I'm rocking in a chair with Maia..

Stego - I am 'attacking' Maia with a claw in this picture.

Stego - I am snuggling Maia in this photo. I am so very happy that she got my ears!

Stego - I love this one of me and my little angel.

Stego - She had to sleep and eat at some stage, so here I am cleaning up after her pottying. My little girl can't sleep in a room full of potties full of number 2's and 1's! No no, she can't!

Stego - She has grown so quickly, and it is almost time for her to go to school. My darling Aggie is baking Maia a birthday cake, while Maia sleeps!

Stego - Agnes carries Maia to the cake!

Stego/Agnes/Holly - Happy birthday Maia!

Dek - Let them eat cake! You can see that the concept of adult/children tables is all the rage in the Saurus house, as well as confirmation as to what Maia's unique skill will be in the lower left corner

Dek - meet the Piratical Maiden, Maia Saurus. She is sure to bend multiple people around her little finger, just not her household. In true Saurus family style, no shoes!

Dek - And we leave wiith this shot of Holly, soon after she joined, after having just taken a phonecall from her mother!

Dek - Is everything alright, dear?

Holly - No! Mother demanded I give her grandchildren. I told her to hold on and I'll have them when I'm ready, even if its after she goes with Grimm.

Dek - I see, well don't let me stop you from sculpting the ice.

That's an awesome name choice in my opinion! It doesn't matter who you are - dinosaurs are cool. =)

Maia is gorgeous though. I'm glad she got the ears from dad too. I always hesitate to play I.D. because of the quick loss of genetic chance at having to take the very first born. Thank goodness Agnes has some pretty genes!

I hope all the requirements are coming smoothly for you! The beginning part of the I.D. is kind of the crunch period!

Dinosaurs are the best!

Agnes means Lamb, so does that make Agnes a Lambeosaurus?

The last shot is a little disturbing, I think it'll be better if Vita stops demanding grandchildren.

@Tiamet I asked Aggie, and she said she approves, and has changed her simmail address to lambeo @ saurus.family.sv she had been complaining about the spam she was getting from the former Dragon Valley prince asking her to send simeloens to him so he could return in triumph and take over Dragon Valley for the dragons.

@LivvieLove The start of IDs are busy as you say. With past attempts, I have tried to do everything up front ie gardening/fishing/cooking from day 1, with someone totally devoted to that. Through reading some successful attempts by others, I have decided to go a bit easier on that, and focus more on the museum pieces. Brain enhancement machines meant ice sculptures from the start for Agnes, and that when she did start fishing and gardening, she was able to fish with bait (store bought alley catfish) and plant special seeds found around Sunset Valley as her starting forays into fishing and gardening. Following her completing her ltw through the use of brain enhancing machines (painting and writing) and multitab (writing), with the deathfish caught, deathflowers grown and homegrown lifefruit in storage, she took cooking to level 10 through further enhancement machine abuse and then purchased recipe and bait books and learnt ambrosia and all the other recipes as well as the baits available from the hometown bookstore.

Then she's back home to prepare the ambrosia to the stage of being able to be replicated in the food replicator. Lambeo Saurus has the following stats across her skills
Sculpting - Maxed; 28 ice sculptures, 2 stone sculptures (30 in total), Ice Personality and Chiselmaster Challenges
Cooking - Maxed; 0 meals prepared, 87% of recipes learnt (50 in total), Menu Maven Challenge
Fishing - Maxed; 42 fish caught, 6 different types of fish caught, with alley catfish, angelfish and deathfish all stocked in home ponds, no challenges completed
Gardening - Maxed; 33 unique types of plant planted (51%), 195 plants have been planted in total, 1747 items have been harvested in total, 70 unknown seeds have been planted, 43 perfect plants have been harvested, Master Planter and Master Farmer Challenges
Painting - Maxed; 3 paintings completed, no brilliant/masterpiece paintings, no challenges completed
Writing  - Maxed; no books written, 26 books read, no challenges completed
Photography - Maxed; 4 photographs taken of two unique sims and with 4 different subjects, no challenges completed

@CeresIn I agree, Vita won't be too happy with who the father of her grandchild is, but if she complains too loudly about it, she may find herself cut off from all contact with said grandchild.
