Screen size problem in windowed mode (Mac)
« on: May 03, 2016, 06:20:18 AM »
Hello and good day,

I've been looking around on the Internet for an answer to this, even on this forum, I don't believe the question has been asked yet, so sorry if this topic has come up before...

I am playing the Sims 3 game on a MacBook Air, and enjoy doing several things at once on my computer, so once in a while I like to play the game in windowed mode, so as to have access to other applications such as Safari (to watch something on Netflix, for example). Now the problem I have is that the screen/window I get to play the game is somehow too "big", i.e. I don't have access to all the commands on screen, such as the game speed buttons, or the options panel button. When I open the Sim panel, I can only see the two upper motives, hunger and social, and not what comes after that. It's more than a little frustrating. I don't necessarily have the time or leisure to only play the game in full-screen mode - I would like to be able to play and multi-task.

However I'm still able to pause the game using the "p" key and access the Sims themselves, but still, if I could find a way to fix this it would really be great!!

Anyway, thanks a lot for reading, I appreciate any advice or comment!
Have a lovely day! :)

Unfortunately, it seems Sims 3 window size is fixed and cannot be resized. At least that we've been able to find. There is no way, that we know of to resize the user interface (UI) within the game.
