Week 4, Day 22: Promise Rings Left Behind Day 22 (Sun)Summer: After staying up late to remodel the kitchen and celebrate Kenta’s birthday, Satoru woke up feeling unwell this morning.
We’d been so excited about being able to drink orange juice out of the fridge when sick, but then remembered that all drinks are banned due to pervasive radiation (Mixologist).
Satoru: Next, I thought of just ordering medicine, but that’s also banned (Journalist).
Erika: And what about me? I’m feeling doubly uncomfortable! Not only do I have a sore back from that cheap bad but I’m suffering from Bad Aftertaste from eating Mom’s poorly-made food.
Summer: (pretends she didn’t hear that and goes back to bed)
Erika: Drago, everyone else went to bed and nobody cares about me except you!

That’s because I already have a best friend! His name is Paolo and he’s from Rio de Janeiro.
What? You think he’s too old for me? Don’t you know that, where loves goes, age doesn’t matter?

Sometimes, when they’re not home, Paolo comes over to see me.

Kats: I wake up and find the fabulous Yuki Behr playing chess outside my bedroom.
Apparently, she’s a good friend of my little sister, Erika, and came to visit.
Forgetting that I’m in my sleepwear, I eagerly begin mentoring her in Logic.
W: Sport, your dad can pull off flitting around in his sleepwear, but you need to work out a little more. Change to your everyday outfit, dear.Kats: Oh right, I’m just so excited to see her now that we’re both the same age!
Kats: I’ve had the biggest crush on Yuki ever since grade school! When she and Erika became good friends, I was too shy to even say hello!
Watchette, thanks so much for making me start leveling charisma early!
W: She seems to like you, too, Kats!
Kats: I gather my courage and ask her for a First Kiss. Yowza!
When she kisses me back so sweetly, I ask her to be my girlfriend. And she says yes!
Kats: When I ask her, she agrees to exchange promise rings and I’m in seventh heaven!
We are so destined to be together! I can barely contain my joy!
Yuki: It's so cool that we're promised! Now we can relax and not try so hard to impress each other, you know?
Would ou mentor me in Logic some more, love bug? I have, like, zero skills!
Kats: Yeah, let’s go upstairs.
Satoru: Yuki’s older sister, Candy, is an old friend of my younger sister Aya from high school.
She drops by and says she’d like to talk with me privately.
Candy: Long time, no see, Satoru. I’m sorry to stop in so suddenly like this, but I have a huge favor to ask.
Satoru: Sure, anything for a friend of Aya’s. How can I help out?
Candy: Well, I’ve been offered a four-month DJ’ing gig at a super popular club called TAO Nighclub out in the city of Las Vegas.
Yuki’s still in high school, though, and doesn’t want to move so far from all of her friends.
Could she live with you until I get back?
Satoru: Well, our home is not as fancy as yours, Candy, but Yuki would be welcome to stay here!
I heard from Erika a few weeks ago that she’s good friends with Yuki already.
Erika becomes a teen in two days, so Yuki and Erika can do “teenage girl” things together.
Candy: Thanks so much, Satoru! What a relief! I know she’ll be happy and safe here with you and your family.
Satoru: No worries, Candy. Sorry, I need to rush off to work! Drop by again before you leave!
W: Although Yuki has already been visiting the household during this convo between Candy and Satoru, Yuki "officially" joins the Sanada household at this point.
Apparently, no one’s bothered to inform Satoru and Candy that his son and her younger sister have already exchanged promise rings.
Kats: Oh wow, how amazing that you live with us now!
Yuki: I know, right?
Kats: Wanna go mess around upstairs?
Yuki: Lead the way, sugar pie!
W: Erm, Kats, I realize Yuki is walking behind you and can’t see you, but would you please wipe that idiotic grin off your face anyway?
Yuki: When I first met Kats, he mentored me in Logic without changing out of his sleepwear.
But now that he’s my boyfriend, he changes into his school uniform to mess around.
Sooo quirky, I love it!
Uhh, Kats, are we in your ‘rents bed?!
Kats: After all the hearts and flying pillows, I quietly gaze on Yuki’s sleeping face.
She’s the most beautiful person, both inside and out. And she wants to be with me!

W: Heeey, Kats! W'sup? I’ve never had two teens mess around before. You two are so cute together.Kats: Noooooo, you’re ruining the moment!!! A little privacy, please?
Summer: Since it’s still Sunday, Watchette goes back into Build mode to remodel the B1 floor, creating two rooms around the monkey bars' footprint.
We think of placing two single beds in Yuki's new bedroom, but Kats’ bed on the 2nd floor can’t be moved. So Yuki gets a new double bed.
W: I know it's odd that Kats and Yuki are in the new bed already, but I need them to test whether it would fit in that narrow room.
Right now, Yuki's making a phone call to quit her teen career.
And by the way, I deeply regret having placed the monkey bars there. How stupid of me!I should have had Satoru move into a neighborhood that has a public area with both a jungle gym and monkey bars. Newcrest?Summer: Can you see the smaller L-shaped room? That will eventually become a Focused room.
Oh, welcome home from work, Satoru!
Satoru: How’s Yuki settling in, Summer? Whoaaa, those two got
that friendly while I was away at work?
Summer: Yep, and now they’re best friends, too!
Satoru: Why’s Kats downstairs in the living room in his sleepwear?
Summer: Because he takes after his father?
W: Ah, life is good! I press Pause and go off to make a cup of coffee, exulting in my watcherly perfection as a matchmaker.
When I sit back in front of the computer, I see Yuki has a whim to use the treadmill on the B2 floor then a menu suddenly pops up, prompting me to choose a trait. Whaaat!?
And then it happens...Okaaaay, no one was expecting that…Awww, Yuki aged up to a young adult on the same day that she moved in! 
While I help Yuki sign up for her new job, Kats has followed Yuki downstairs, which surprised me.Kats: Noooo! Watchette, make it stop! Didn’t you say you disabled auto-ageing for unplayed sims?
W: Erm, I guess I must not have set it early enough or maybe I set it wrong…Kats: So what happens now?
W: You’ll just have to be patient, Kats. When you become a young adult in 12 days, Yuki will still be a young adult, too.
You two can definitely get married and have children then!Kats (sorrowfully): But what happens to the promise rings we exchanged? When I grow up, will she still love me?
W: Just took a peek at her relationship panel and you’re described as “Soulmates, Promised, and Best Friends.” Looks like you’re still in the game, sport!Kats: *breathes a huge sigh of relief and (autonomously) hugs Yuki.
W: C’mon Yuki, it’s off to plan outfits for you. Dressing you is going to be fun!

So many things happened this weekend!
And after all the excitement of Kenta’s child birthday, Satoru’s adult birthday, Kats’ teen birthday, the new kitchen, Yuki moving in, Kats and Yuki exchanging promise rings, and Yuki ageing up to a young adult, the members of the household go their respective ways in preparation for Monday.
Some finish up homework or extra credit, while others work on their daily tasks.
Well, except for a certain two who might have stayed up on the roof in denial of their age difference.

I’m a huge fan of Yuki Behr but have never had the chance to play her before.
Plus, she and Kats were just so cute together, popping so many autonymous interactions, before and after she aged up. (well, okay, I helped a little...)
As for Erika and Paolo, I'm considering a "live-out" baby daddy, just for genetic diversity...haven't decided yet. But they really like each other. *rolls eyes
Also, I might have also needed a break from the Apocalypse Challenge.
Oh and, on a separate note, Bella Goth strolled by the Sanada homestead during the day, completely unaware of the fact that Satoru is her grandson.
