Alas, poor Watcher! I agree with you both that there's VERY little room for improvement when a sim is born with the pear-shaped physique.
I laughed at your thought to pair a vest with his swimming trunks to hide that body, hahaha. Too funny!

About the lazy trait, my lazy sim actually completed the Bodybuilder career--they're not so bad. Just sometimes, they disappear and you find them napping somewhere.

Isn't it odd how, even with the same parents, the kids can turn out so differently?
To be honest, I'm a little relieved that I'll only need to choose now between four potential heirs, instead of five. Sorry, Ryker!

Lol yeah, sorry Ryker :-) I'm glad you're enjoying this. I have to say though, that should Ryker win (shudder) I would be playing him as a lazy couch potato that has to be forced to do stuff lol

Just found this! Haha, starting your first sims story can be nerve wracking, but the best thing finding friendly communities to share them with. Here and Booprop are both incredibly friendly places to start (if boolprop is anything like it used to be back in 2009, anyways - haven't spent much time there recently).

Your founder is super entertaining and I'm looking forward to seeing more of the kids for the heir poll! I know what it's like playing ahead and then constantly playing a game of catch up with yourself. That's basically how I function, too. Also, sorry to hear about your many internet woes. I can 100% sympathise. We lost internet for about 6 weeks at the start of this year and it became a nightmarish battle between landlords and electricians and ISPs and real estate agents and I finally had to put my grumpy pants on to get it fixed.

Anyways, long winded comment is basically just to say I'll be keeping an eye on this and I'm looking forward to more! :)

Hi! Thanks for finding my (sort of) story :-)

It still amazes me every time someone comments. In my mind, comments are meant for brilliant writers like Oshizu, Trip, Livvielove, mpart, Blamsart and scads of others on this forum and Boolprop. So when I get a compliment it gives me a nice little thrill :-) so thanks for that :-)

Internet woes are an understatement, but, thank The Gods for my uncle's unlimited WiFi lol

Just wanted to add that I've since gone back and re-read your updates on Heirs 1 and 2.
At this point, I'm definitely Team Jaxa!

XD well I'm glad one of the three is getting loved more than the others XD will make the voting that much sweeter ;-) it's nerve wrecking when I see I have a comment! I feel like a kid on Christmas :-) I honestly thought no one would read it, and now, it's at the point where I'm actually literally cursing my ISP when I can't upload my blasted images for an update!

I would like to ask some advice though? Right now I'm hosting the images directly on WordPress (they give you like a GB free or something), but, does it make a heck of a difference having to host them elsewhere? I'm asking for that far off distant place where I eventually run out of room on WP lol

@Magpie2012
I've never had a blog so I can't compare my experience with Wordpress.
I'm very satisfied with Imgur, though. I have a vanilla account, no extra fees. I'm able to upload my images from a folder on my PC into an "album" on Imgur, rearrange the album's images if necessary, then click through the images in the album for the share links. I have 3000+ images thee, and I believe the incredibly-profilic @LivvieLove posted  (on a thread asking about image storage websites) that Imgur has no storage limit.

Imgur only hosts images, though, so if you do other things with your blog, then it's not for you.
Also, @LivvieLove uses Imgur but also hosts a blog, so she'll definitely have better advice for you than I can offer.  :D

*Poof*
I've been summoned!
(quickly reads to figure out why)
Ah-ha! Imgur. I love Imgur.
Just kidding, I have a love-hate relationship with Imgur's new beta thing. It never uploads any of my pictures in order... but I've got 166 albums on there right now and (sighs) I'm attached, so I just do it a few at a time in the same album to combat it.

I use Imgur exclusively and try to refrain from using images directly on my blog (for the purpose that it *does* cost money to get more space and I don't want to pay for that). It's essentially the same as posting on the forum for me. I go to insert an image and just do it through URL which is the same way you might put an image on the forum, just without the code-work required (like the [ img] stuff).
Granted, I'm on Blogger and not WordPress, so I don't know how it is with using URL images on WordPress (sounds like a job for @Blamsart - though I know they say they pay for the extra space on WP).
Overall, once you plug the URL in through Blogger, it functions the same as any other picture you put in.
Highly recommend if you don't want to pay (or you're not sure the best way to pay) to switch to Imgur. Unlimited storage and it's fairly easy to use. You can also message me if Imgur gives you any grief and I can try to troubleshoot with you!

@Magpie2012
*whispers* If you're afraid to run out of GB space and don't want to pay for anything you can make a new blog like a 'continued' blog on WordPress and you get the free GB space that comes with */whisper*
I didn't do it cause I didn't want to separate my blogs.

But like @LivvieLove 's experience, adding external images to WordPress is through the same process as blogger or Carl's forum. Just takes a little more time.

Lol @Blamsart I was also thinking of that "continued" blog. But, not sure how... Maybe like every third Gen or something?!?

@oshizu I was thinking along the lines of what Blams said, about it being similar to Carl's, because I know you have a heap of experience posting here. Thanks for the heads up about imgur (I do actually have an account, from when I posted some stuff here)! Will definitely look into that.

@LivvieLove you shouldn't "poof" so much lol you might make Sheo jealous that you do it so well ;-) thanks for volunteering to be my Guru for imgur! I will definitely take you up on that when/if I decide to do the hosting elsewhere.

Right now, I just want to get through the heir vote lol do y'all have suggestions on how long I should leave the poll up for? Bearing in mind, I'm also going to have people voting here and on Boolprop. I was thinking 2 weeks? Too much? Too little? Check me getting ahead of myself lol haven't even introduced the last 2 kids yet ;-)

Are you kidding? Sheo is how I'm able to *poof* around so much. Besides. His adorable childhood face will always be on my mind when I hear that. XD
Honestly when I did/do heir polls I think I left them up for 3 days. I honestly didn't wait that long. So, I'd almost say you're on the long end. Maybe a week if you want to be sure, but that's just my thoughts on it. I feel bad for Ryker, but I'm loving on the girls. <3

@Magpie2012 Maybe try and gauge with how much space you've used up. Maybe you'll only have used 1/3 of the space by gen.3! I didn't need to buy more space till gen.7 or gen.8 I think. There's a lot of space on WordPress blogs.

How long do you want to wait before you can start the next gen? :P
(around 1-2 weeks sounds about good tho. More would be too much. Just one week for me was fine. Votes slowed down around the 3-4 day. Apart from Xav whose votes all came crashing in at the last second)

Ok, I think I'll start it at a week and see. If it's dead, well, that's a vote in itself isn't it lol plus, what's gonna be even more interesting is, one of the Boolpropians has power of veto on this 1st vote O_O she won it fair and square... And she gets to choose whether she uses it BEFORE the vote, to exclude someone, or AFTER the vote, if her favourite kid didn't win XD this is gonna be interesting XD and @KRae has already told me what the 2nd born of Gen 2 is going to be named and I really like it, which I'm glad of since I'd have to type it for an entire Gen and maybe longer lol

Hi Magpie!
Please don't keep us waiting too long to introduce your last two heirs, or we'll forget who the first three are. ;-)
If you asked me if I preferred an earlier update or a collage, I would pick 'earlier update"!

Why? Because I can't wait to meet your last two heirs. Also, unless you introduce them and run the heir vote, your legacy can't move forward.  Heaven forbid!

Lol @oshizu the collages are done, it's just my internet that doesn't want to play along. I will definitely try to get another heir(s) up this weekend! I can't wait for you to meet the last 2 heirs! Not to mention the fact I really want to start playing again XD
