Yet another one of the wonderful authors I look up to here! Your Wyvern's are amazing! Sorry that I haven't updated, but stupid internet fails :-( we "might" get a new modem/wifi-thingie tomorrow! Hold thumbs! I can let you in on a little secret about the Parisshian's though

KRae *pompoms* hi! Another one of the awesimest of awesim authors here!

Ok, so, we got the modem/wifi-thingie back today. Only to plug it in and hear something go *pah* (supposed to be a weird popping noise lol). It is now seriously out of commission! But... Every cloud and all that, my first born of Gen 2 just turned into a teen, and all of her siblings have been born and aged up to child. When I do finally get connectivity back, we are going to be playing a nice game of catch-up. I give you fair warning, there WILL be an heir poll. These kiddies are so blasted adorable that I just wouldn't be able to choose! I'm going to wait until the eldest is a YA for that, since the random legacy generator I'm using gives me the career and marital status and number of kids for the heir.

Just for fun: how many kids do you think I rolled for Gen 2?

Great start Magpie, and fyi, totally readable and legible for these elderly eyes!  I like the colored parts instead of just using quotation marks.  We aren't allowed that here or I would use that as well.  (Understandable with so many stories in one spot)  Love your Simmies and even "Walk the Dog" looks great.  lol
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Hi Joria! Thanks so much for letting me know it's legible for everyone! I remember you saying on another thread, that sometimes the tweaking of the fonts, backgrounds, etc, make it hard for "elderly eyes" to read it. I wanted this to be accessible to everyone, if I'm gonna do this, I wanna do it right :-D

The whole different colour thing actually came about because I can never decide how to do the quotation thing properly. I'm just sorry I made Karda's colour purple *pout* that's MY favourite colour! I'm still trying to figure out how to make the transition from one Gen to another, with regards to the 4th wall breaking etc... Like, how do y'all decide when to hand over the reigns? Especially when the Founder/previous Gen, might still have so much more to say?!?

As for the 4th wall, I do a lot less story and almost all dialogue so it's easier for me.  As soon as they age up to child, they  know they have a watcher and can talk straight to that person.  Strangely this is the first time Artie and them weren't talking straight to "Rica" but there is a reason for that, of course!

Do what comes naturally while you're telling it.  Since this is a legacy, just have more than one voice going and you can do a thing where Gen 1 is purple, Gen 2 is Blue, Gen 3 is purple, and so on and so forth since you're swapping out characters you know?   "You have been dubbed the heir.. you now get to use purple"

You're doing great with this.  It is terrifying when you start to tell a story, I was obsessed over how rubbish mine was at first, but then I just thought of it as a kind of travelogue through my dynasty and tried to stop caring about views and comments.  Funnily enough, when I was away from my sims last week I really enjoyed looking back over my story ; like looking at photos of the family!!

I found the format of your page really easy to read, and look forward to more!  And I totally "lol"ed when I read "And so, we leave you with this last picture of our adorable little… Oh, Crap! I forgot her name O_O

As you know, I blew up the 4th wall long ago. All my sims talk to me. Oddly enough even the toddlers who haven't learned to talk yet.

Lol yeah, KRae, I don't think your 4th wall even exists as rubble anymore ;-D

Thanks Trace! I'd love to say I did it for comic effect, but the sad truth is I really did forget AND forgot to write it down too lol NOT a mistake I'll be making again *she says even though she doesn't really believe it*

I've decided that my first born of every generation (who is not necessarily going to be the heir, unless my RLG rolls only 1 kid) is going to be a "ship name" of their parents... Any thoughts on what our adorable little tot's name is? Naming rights to the second born of the 2nd Gen to the first person to get it right! And I promise, you can name the kid ANYTHING! As long as it's PG friendly, as per Forum rules ;-D

*hmm, now I need to think of a contest for over on Boolprop* *d'oh*

Edit: ok, so I mentioned on Boolprop, that you have about 2 days to guess, that's because I'm hoping I'll have internet on Wednesday to be able to post Chapter 2 in the evening. And it is 8pm here now, so my American friends should just be starting their Monday!

Oops, I meant 2nd born of the 3rd Gen *facepalm* I keep forgetting that this IS the 2nd Gen already *d'oh*

Edit: I always think in terms of Founding Gen; 1st Gen; 2nd Gen; etc...

Oh, and the spelling counts... I only thought of that now, because, what's to say that 2 of our members have the same name in mind but spelt slightly different?!? Do you think an A should have gone where someone put a consonant... Do you think you should drop a letter... All this will act in your favour!

@KRae if you feel you must, then please be free to make an amendment/choose a different name, I don't want anyone to be penalised due to "last minute" changes...

Joachin does clean up nicely. I love how different Simmers have such divergent perspectives on the premades. The site looks great!
