TG I would love to tell you but haven't a clue where to find that file - I am using a Mac and the file structure is different than a PC.
I have a folder called WorldCaches but there is no folder called GameData or Worlds.
Is that the name of the file Bridgeport.world"? If so that does not come up in my search.
I would be happy to let you know if I know where and what to look for.
Thanks

@ Jancy: I have a Mac, and although I don't have LN on it yet I do have Riverview, and I'm going to assume they would be located in the same place. Here is where I find Riverview:

Open your finder (blue face on your dock), next on the left hand side, under places, click on your name (or name of the computer), then open Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/InstalledWorlds (near the middle if organized by name). This is where my Riverview is located and I'm assuming that's where Bridgeport would be as well. Then right click on the file Bridgeport.world and click on Get Info. The size of the file can then be found in bold in the top right hand corner, or further down where it says Size.

Hope this helps.

Lilly Thank you for the help, but the only files I have in the InstalledWorlds folder is Barnacle.world and Riverview.world -  So I am assuming it is either someplace else on the Mac or it is called something different.
I also have TwinBrooks and that isn't in that folder either.

Hmm, I see what you mean. I'm looking to see if I can figure out where non-downloaded worlds, such as Twinbrook and Bridgeport, are kept.

FOUND IT!!!!

Here goes.

Open Finder/Applications/The Sims 3. Now right click on "The Sims 3" plumbob and click "Show Package Contents."

Now open the following: Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 Late Night/Game Data/Shared/NonPackaged/Worlds

This folder should have Bridgeport in it for you to right click on and select "Get Info." At this point it's the same as I said above, the size for Bridgeport is in bold in the upper right corner or lower down after "Size."

P.S. Big thanks to my husband! I will under no circumstances claim any rights to finding this! All I did was type up this post.

Thanks so much for the help, but I was able to do it that way when I had Leopard- - now I have a new computer running Snow Leopard and it does not show it that way, it's actually hidden-which is a little more difficult to get to -  They removed "show package content from the right click menu" in Snow Leopard. I did find show package content before when I was looking for something in another program but now I need to find how to get to show package content running snow leopard and on Sims 3 - now if your husband knows how to do that - I will be forever grateful! :) I'll try googling it also to see what I can find.  Thanks so much for your help-much appreciated and thank your husband.

I did start a new game in BP on the 24th - Everything has been going great until today- It started acting slightly choppy again, Bars are starting to look empty again, mixologists aren't showing up, starting to get choppy, and just noticed now a bunch of Sims all starting to congregate on a different lot this time, the Banzai Lot outside. It's just a matter of a couple of more hours of gameplay that this problem will cause the game to be unbearable to play.
I am so disappointed in this game right now.
Wishful thinking but hoping EA will come up with a patch for this soon.  I'm getting so tired of starting new games with the same horrible outcome. It's just no fun anymore, it really has become a chore to play, or should I say try to play. :(
Does anyone else have an other suggestions to get these Sims to go home?  Alleviate the choppy/pausing gameplay?
I have reset all of them, deleted the lot, put the lot back-tried quite a bit to no avail -  they all come back.
Thanks

I'm afraid I have no suggestions, but I just finished reading about a similar problem in the Late Night section - sims there were congregating at the theatre.  I wonder if this is a Bridgeport problem.

@ Jancy: I read something on the gamespot forums about choppy play in Bridgeport. What they have concluded is that every time a townie Sim drives somewhere the game generates a new car, so they end up with lots of cars in their inventories, which slows down game play. But the whole congregating on one lot thing definitely looks like a bug. There is another thread where they mention how to reset all the Sims in a town and If I remember correctly it's: resetSim * but I'd have to check that for you. - Wait, nevermind, that was on page 1 of this thread, and you posted the crowd pictures.  :P  Sorry.

I've asked my husband about the Snow Leopard thing and he thinks he can help you. Let me just get off the PC and give him some time.

My husband's wondering which system version you are running. If you need help finding that: Finder/Applications/Utilities/System Profiler/Software, then it's on the first line.

@ Jancy: From what we understand about our research, my husband and I have reached the conclusion that Snow Leopard does not have the equivalent to a 'Show Package Contents' option, and you would have to install an extra program to be able to access the information found under 'Show Package Contents.' So unless that is an option you are willing to consider, I'll hand this discussion back to TJBlank, who asked about the size of your BP file, which is where our discussion originated from.

Sorry, I couldn't be of any actual help. Although, I have learned a lot about my Mac from our discussion.  :)

This tells me I should play my BP game tomoorow to see if I get the same bugs. Then perhaps I could be of more help.

Thank so much to you and your husband, I really appreciate the help.  The version I am running is 10.6.5
A little tip for you lilly, if you click the apple on top left corner, about this mac, Software version is there. If you click more info it will take you right to the screen your husband mentions, with just a couple of less steps. :)
I was able to find it in another application (Show Package Contents)but it was a bunch of windows to get to it and I cannot remember at all.  I did see on line that there are programs to do this, but I'm just wondering if it would even matter now about the size of the file.  It does seem to be happening to a lot of other folks games, so I really think it's a bug in the program. Especially now where it's doing it to another LN game and a Game in BBay
I did read about all the cars and I did delete a some of the Sloppy Jalopys and Lemons that I saw in the parking lots but it didn't make to much of a difference.
I really appreciate the help. I am hoping it doesn't happen to you, but if so, please let me know.  If I find anything else out I'll be sure to post.

Yep, that's my problem too... I posted it here: LINK

My laptop is an older one, so sometimes during normal play I get slow performance, but after stopping few processes that use some of CPU it goes just fine. Then this bug appeared and I can't seem to manage get the game working normally, so I guess the problem isn't really in the machine specs at all. I really hope EA will fix this soon...

This keeps happening even after you close the game and restart?
