Stuck Dishes

My Sims now have dishes stuck in their inventory and no matter what I do I can't drag them out or delete them, resetting the Sim doesn't work either. Is there anything else I can do? This is annoying.

Have you tried evicting the household and move them back in?

1. Go to manage world.
2. Evict current household.
3. Then move household back into their house.
