Can You Have More That One Best Friend Forever?

My teenager sim, Jasmine, is best friend with Sam Sekemoto and his girlfriend Ida Cosby. She is BFF's with Sam, and best friends with Ida. Only problem is, I spent the whole weekend trying to repair family relationships, and max Jasmines fishing skill, and her relationship with Ida changed too Old Friend. I want to change it, either to Best friend or BFF. Can she have more that one BFF? If not, how can I change their relationship to Best Friend?

I don't actually know about BFF's; my sim often go into romantic relationships. I don't believe that you can go up again by just talking to them, but perhaps there comes up an option to stop being 'old friends' when you've spend some time with Ida. Is the Long Distance Friend reward applicable here? If it is I would pick that up as well to prevent this from happening again.

What you could do is to use 'testingcheatsenabled true' and drag the relationship meter down and then up again. That will renew your friendship!

I am trying to understand the whole BFF anyway.  I had a few in BP that were BFF, but using testingcheats, I have tried sliding the bar up on other sims and it just gets to good friends and never BFF.  Not quite sure of the criteria on BFF right off.

You have to use the "Ask to best friend forever" interaction. I think the Idea is that, even if you ignore them for the rest of their lives, the meter never goes down.
