Snoring Sims
« on: December 03, 2009, 09:58:31 PM »
This seems to be problem day for me.  My Sim couple had been getting along great for 6 weeks, but suddenly my female Sim started snoring really loudly at night, so much so that my male Sim wakes up every time he gets into the bed with her even if he is dead exhausted.  So now I have to have them sleep at different times.  How can I fix this?!

Your male Sim wakes up with the Rude Awakening moodlet, like when a baby is crying?  Is your female a heavy sleeper?  I've read that they tend to snore.

No, neither has the heavy sleeper trait and this only started happening the last few days, which is really strange.  But yes, he gets the rude awakening moodlet and can't go back to sleep while she is sleeping.

Does he have the Light Sleeper trait?  I guess I should just ask what both their traits are.

They both have charismatic, lucky, artistic, natural cook, and green thumb.

Hmmmm.  I'm baffled then.  Maybe it's just something new that happens because of the updates and World Adventures.  Anyone else have any ideas?

Wow! That's funny! (but it would be really annoying)!
Hm... I can't really think of anything to solve it. Maybe she could wear those sleeping nose patches so she won't snore. Oh wait, they're not on Sims... :)
Sorry, but I have no idea! I just wanted to say that was funny!

Oh noes!  Maybe your male Sim needs to change one of his traits to the "heavy sleeper" then her snoring won't bug him anymore!   ;) :D

Hmm, try giving your Sim some more excercise (running). After you run until tired a few times, it should stop. If not, try either giving them seperate rooms or giving him the Heavy Sleeper trait.

Seriously? Have you actually done this or are you just guessing?

That didn't work, nor did having them WooHoo.  I ended up just staggering their sleep.  After a few weeks I tried again, and it seems they can sleep together again now.

It actually worked once, but he might have stopped on his own. I dont know because the sim was fat and after he lost some weight he stopped snoring.

Just put a partition wall in, and put single beds on either side. Both Sims get a good nights sleep, and the relationship doesn't fall. And when you want them to Woohoo, just take down the partition wall and replace the single beds with a double bed. Its a bit fiddly, but good for keeping up the relationship.
