Multiple versions of same towns on Main Page

When you are on the Main Page and click on "New Game", a drop down box appears, (or is there already), with the list of towns to choose from.  In mine, there are multiple copies of Barnacle Bay, Sunset Valley and Riverview.  Twinbrook and Bridgeport only show up as single entries.  I do not have multiple games saved on these multiple towns.  Does anyone know why I would have multiple towns showing and how to get rid of them?  I have not found a way to delete them from the Main Page so figure it's a go into some file or other but not sure how to do this and whether it would mess up my game.

I had a similar issue.  I kept noticing in buy mode that I would have duplicate items.  Same price, same name, same color.  For some reason my game had installed duplicates.  I went into the download file folder and there were the items with 2 sometimes even three duplicates (example: bedDoubleDiva, then another named bedDoubleDiva(1) ) so I deleted all the duplicate files and now my game only has one item.  So I would check the world file folder in your documents and see if you have duplicates there.

Thanks geroo, I did have duplicates same as you, 4 of them!  Doing a clean uninstall/reinstall fixed it.
