What are Walls?

Words that spark a philosophical discussion amongst Sims include "What are Walls?", "Are Llamas real?", "Why am I being watched by an omniscient camera in the sky?". In this particular task, you're not allowed to use something fundamental. Be prepared to be challenged.

Specifications:

• Budget: No Budget!
• Lot Size: Unrestricted
• Requirements:
  • You are only allowed up to one wall on one tile, on which you should place your toilet and shower.
  • All of a Sim's motives must be capable of being fulfilled.

Contest Specific Rules:

• You may only have one entry, from TS3 or TS4. You cannot enter both.
• There will be only one winner.

Are we only allowed one wall for the whole build? Or is it one wall per tile?

What about half-walls? Are they allowed?

Can fences be used or would that be considered a type of wall? And does the wall have to be used for a toilet and shower or can it be used for something else like a door?

One wall for the whole build. The spirit of the rules is that the wall is for a toilet, but that's not hard and fast. Fences are allowed, but no half-walls.

Bedrooms: 1 (unless rooms have to be contained within walls, in which case, 0)
Baths: 1 (as above)
Cost: $397,906 furnished, $261,391 unfurnished
Content: Romantic Garden Stuff, Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Perfect Patio Stuff, Get Together, Get To Work.

This could be the dream home for a professional couple who enjoy climbing stairs, experiencing extreme weather up close, and the constant sound of fountains. Open-air bedroom and bathroom let you enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views all day and night long.

Not recommended for hay fever sufferers; unsuitable for children and pets due to sheer drops.

2016 Building Contest #3 (Sims 3): Hedge Fund

Lot size 64 x 64
3 bed spaces (1 double, 1 single) plus cot, 3 bathrooms
Price on original lot: §114591 furnished, §68756 unfurnished.  (Screenshots taken at 29 S Falls Ave, Moonlight Falls.)
Content used: World Adventures, Ambitions, Fast Lane, Late Night, Outdoor Living, Generations, Pets, Supernatural, Showtime, University Life, Keep Me Clean Outdoor Shower.

Jack Hedge, a.k.a. The Mad Topiarist, built this house for his own use.  His heirs, unable to face the constant clipping required to keep it in shape, have now put it on the market.  An ideal home for a level ten sculptor with plenty of time on their hands or a Sim rich enough to employ an army of gardeners.  It would not suit Sims who hate the outdoors (or the colour green).  Real Princesses should probably also steer clear – the ‘soft’ furnishings are inevitably somewhat twiggy.

Bedrooms: 0  - But there are 2 tents which will sleep 2 people each.
Baths: 0 - But there are 2 bushes that can be "fertilized", 2 showers and 2 sinks.
Cost: §98,486 (furnished) / §45,706 (unfurnished but would remove items required for challenge)
Content: Romantic Garden Stuff, Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Perfect Patio Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Get Together, Get To Work

The Oasis Park is the perfect place to spend the day or night out in the middle of the dessert.  It offers yoga, gym facilities, outdoor movie theatre, kids' play area, a bar and dance platform for whatever entertainment you want. Strolling through the neighborhood and see something inspirational? Take advantage of the easels. Just want to play chess but stuck with the kids? We have a chess board waiting for you and plenty of fun for the kids, too! The Oasis Park would also make a great party venue with the ability to hire a DJ and mixologist.  Invite your friends to party or movie watch all night long! (Considered a Gym to allow for a working spa instructor!)
