I try to install sims expansion packs in origin but it just says play

So my father had to fix my computer, which in he had to uninstall sims and then he put it back. We got the base game back but all of the expansions are gone. So I went into Origin to get them back but they won't let me install them, they all just say play and then they never work. What should I do?

I'd recommend you do a uninstall/reinstall of the game. As described in the steps below. As it sounds like something messed up during install.

1. Uninstall the game and all expansions/stuff packs.

Uninstall any/all of the expansions/stuffs packs either by going to the Uninstall a Program in Control Panel. (Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features)

Look for the Sims 3 expansions/stuff packs you want to uninstall and click on them and select Uninstall for each expansion/stuff pack you want to uninstall.

Or Uninstall via the Origin Client.

2. Run Ccleaner and it's registry cleaner. Or a similar registry cleaner.

3. Then try reinstalling the game, expansions and stuff packs.
